I'm sad as well but it's not close to the deforestation Disney is pulling off at WDW while selling nature and conservation at AK. ;-)

Did you see water screens or the projection mapping on the buildings? Just curious.

Sounds great!

From where I was I could only see the projection mapping. Tough to know if water screens were on since I didn’t notice them, but that may have to do with the construction wall getting in the way.

I hate that the park area has been clearcut for another lame water show. Who needs trees in the Florida sun? This was one of the few attractive & relaxing areas of Universal Studios.

If the show is good, this will be more than worth it. Area with a purpose > Area with no purpose

If I’m finding a place to cool down, I’m not remaining outside. Trees or not.

There's literally no large trees or grass left in the park. A concrete jungle.

At least they left the trees along the back that overhang over the pathway, making shade, and making a creepy place for a HHN scare zone.

How does it compare to DHS? It's exact rival that opened the same year?

There’s still plenty of trees there, though.

Hang some laundry on those lines and it will look just like a NYC or SF neighborhood circa 1910. Now that would be authentic immersive theming. Up that Disney. ;)

I am surprised they didn’t just hang stuff from the old wooden power poles.

Have fun at the water show guys & gals! If I have to do concrete & crowds...I’ll choose another avenue.

When you are landlocked, you need to find a way to use any space that is available to you in order to keep adding new attractions, etc. That's the position UOR is in right now with USF.

Not sure why I’ve never made this mental leap after seeing the Jurassic World concept photo, but it would be an absolute missed opportunity if this show didn’t feature a projected mosasaurus leaping up out of the water and using the physical water effects as it’s ‘splash-down’.

The area will look nice once it's finished, and there will still be large amounts of foliage. Everything will be fine.
