Has this already been officially confirmed before? Premier passholders can take advantage of Express in Epic after 4pm beginning May 22

Guess that bonus helps offset paying $100+ for every day ticket

I saw this too. This is a HUGE benefit that I wasn’t expecting, but am very excited about. This will help with my trip planning the first three days.

Apparently they deleted any mention of this perk and now won’t reply to anyone asking this question. Seems like it was a mistake by someone that this was even out. You’d think they’d send a post apologizing for the miscommunication and clarifying it for everyone.

Oh no. You gotta do the walking into the NYC portal and popping out of the Real Epic Portal video mashup deal.

Nice write up in Attitude (UK):

Universal Epic Universe review: A game-changer for theme parks

Universal Orlando’s newest theme park is their most ambitious ever, as we discover with an exclusive first look

This quote resonated with me— I’m really feeling withdrawal from Epic:

Didn’t want to double post, but a co-worker of mine just sent me his first impression of going to Epic:

At least they addressed it. Disappointed isn’t the right word because I never expected it in the first place. I was hopeful for a few days this would actually happen, but at least now we have a definitive answer and can plan accordingly.

They are running a fountain show tonight at 10. Video cameras ready to record. Entire fountain area filled with people. They announced it a half hour ago.

They did run the fountain show tonight and even announced it as a test.

It was beautiful despite being rough in a couple of spots as expected (it was a test after all!). I'm sure video will come out when people get home but it covers music from all 4 worlds and what I assumed I original music for Celestial Park.

The fountains in the other ponds near Atlantic and the carousel were synced up so no matter where you were you got something. The main place to be is near the large pond of course, and there really wasn't a bad place to be for this showing. The bridge in front of Helios appeared to be a good spot to get the whole thing in wide view.

Some photos from the show:

They had a film crew there probably for commercial b-roll. It was a fountain show test. They ran through some of the programed mini shows that will run every 15 mins or so during the evenings. There are a variety of 2-3 minute shows based off of the lands in the park. This was just a small test but it seemed they wanted a crowd around the fountain for the commercial footage so they ran through some of the numbers back to back.

That explains the pause between segments! I wonder if there will be one unique show at park close or if it'll only be multiple sets of mini shows throughout the night.

The neat thing was despite watching the main pond I still wanted to go over to the others and see what it was like over there. It's great Celestial Park as a whole had something happening during the show instead of the action only being near Helios.

I'd guess it'll be just cycling like the potter castle show to prevent the hours of camping for spots like you'd see at Disney. A clue would be if there is any mention of reserved show seats anywhere, which I haven't seen any mention of.

Multiple mini shows you can drop in and out of would be in line with the relaxed atmosphere of Celestial Park if that's what they end up doing.

Is the daytime to nighttime moment still happening? And what about the full nighttime spectacular we saw/heard testing a few months back. I’m sure we’ll get some clarity on this soon, but I hope they weren’t cut.

Apparently it's supposed to happen, but has not been run yet. Or at least not with guests in the park.

Here's video of last nights test show:

Sure, but I don’t think it’s a binary “It’s Technical Rehearsal, therefore You Can’t Complain.” I think people should be cognizant and understanding but also have the right to feel peeved if their $150+ day was a disaster.

Nice light show. On nights where it's not part of a fireworks show, I can see where it'll be more of a casual viewing experience, where guests drop by for part of the show, and then move on. Without projections/fireworks/drones it's not as spellbinding as the USF Cinemagic show, Fantasmic, WDW Castle Show. Show looks good though and the accompanying music fits well. So crowd size might not be a problem.

As someone who doesn't watch parades or fireworks, i watched the footage and said, "Are people really going to sit around and watch water?" Lol

I know this past weekend had a lot of downtime but watching the waits yesterday seemed like it was overall pretty smooth with minimal downtime. Big issue seems to be VQ implementation. I'll be there Friday so I'll report back how it is. Went to SNW in hollywood so honestly will prolly focus most of my effort in the other lands and pop in to see DK and mess around with some of the games if not packed. I'll have to dig up my yoshi band from my drawers. I am going with a group of 5 friends so I really hope they figure out how to link us all so we at least have a fair shot at a VQ for ministry. But I'm just excited to get in there and take it all in.

Yeah. Without fireworks, I see people watching 5 or 6 minutes, oohing and ahhing, and then moving on. But Universal may have that factored in, therefore not worried about capacity in the vicinity of the fountains....There's a reason most rides are just 4 minutes long now. People have shorter attention spans than in the past due to various reasons. It takes a complete, multi experience, to keep people interested.
