Yup. Still closed but looks amazing on the inside and ready to open any minute. No menu displayed out in front either.

I think the issues they're having with VQ and the Ministry ride is where the "1 day at Epic" ticket packages are going to come back to bite them. I get *why* they did it this way but still.... Unlike the other parks every guest after May 22 will be at Epic on a one day ticket and we know the ride won't magically be problem free on opening day. I'm sure there will be days where Ministry will be down most of the day (if not the entire day) and there will be a lot of PO'd guests that won't be able to just say "we'll just try again tomorrow" lol

Does pteranodon flyers count since only kids can go with parents? Not open to the general public. On a funny note I just found out the P is silent. I have been pronouncing the P all my life.

As I recall Pteranodon Flyers was an opening day attraction, the 1st Anniversary rides I was thinking about were Storm Force Accelatron and The Flying Unicorn

Correct. When the park first opened, there was no “children” restriction, which resulted in that ride having the longest wait in the park (typically 3-4 hours or more-the other rides rarely hit 3 hours). Since they couldn’t increase capacity, they set the restriction about 6 months after opening.

I believe that the ride manufacturer also had genuine concerns about how two large adults riding in a single RV would stress the structural components over time. During the OI meetups (where Pteranadon Flyers is available to everyone, even adults with no children, via a lottery system), they still only allow one adult to ride at a time. But yes -- the capacity concerns + ridiculous lines (with no good place to put people) made the decision significantly easier.

I was basically too large to ride Flyers by the time the restriction was put in place, but my Dad and I would always ask when we saw no line, and once when I was maybe 12 or 13 they surprised us and said Yes, and let me tell you it was the most terrifying ride of my life. 2 large men, both in height and weight, riding together made it feel like it was going to swing upside down or break, something when going around the corners. I don't know why that worker let us on but we will never forget it.

I’m going the opening three days. I planned to rope drop MK day 1. Maybe I should do Mine-Cart instead.

Have they started offering express for these previews ? Curious how that will affect wait times.

I also wonder how long express lines will be , now that they won’t be free for a lot of hotel guests.

Also , I feel another reason the lines are so bad is completely due to the failure of virtual queue and the ministry’s operational issues. This ride / line could eat people and reduce lines elsewhere if they could get it running effectively.

I think opening day there is no early entry but day 2 and 3 with early entry, unless you are part of that it really isn't worth going there first. By the time regular guests have been let it both MK and DK have been 90-120 mins. I'd say rope drop berk instead and just accept that you will have to wait for Mario stuff at some point.

It depends on the ride. The problem is that a lot of the rides have had delays. So you're waiting for it to come back online but once it does, you're first to get on.

I used Express on Monsters and I could tell that as soon as I walked in, everyone was SITTING on the stairs of the castle. That meant they had probably been there for a while.

So I saw the rumor float back up for virtual queues being used to enter the worlds - anyone think there will be truth to it?

As much as I enjoyed the park, if this is ever implemented I will never go back while in use.

Quite possible when you see the size of the lands versus demand. It's just like when Hogsmeade opened-- there will be some days where it's needed (especially Nintendo).

For those who’ve seen the two shows - how long are they, and how long before a showtime do you need to get in line? Just trying to work out what sort of time commitment each of them is from walking into the queue to exiting the show.

Each show is about 20 mins, but Cirque Arcanus is a little longer because of a pre show. We arrived about 15 mins before the shows and had no problem. Even though personal taste determines how well you enjoy the shows, they were both very good but we enjoyed Cirque Arcanus more.

Universal M.O. ....June yet....wait until slow Sept. They'll be closing at 5:00...Bankers Hours. ;) :lmao:.....For real though: Guessing that advanced ticket sales for Epic are low for those dates. All those confusing and difficult ways for out of state tourists to get tickets since October may have caught up to them, in a bad way. Lots of Floridians are probably doing the previews.
