Do you mind throwing an "x" on Alicia's pic on the top of this page by chance to mark it's location? If you have time, of course.

Agreed, would love to understand where these additional huts are ahead of time. Thanks.

I circled the concierge huts in red, they are all round yellow huts with green dots on the map.

Awesome - thx.

Interesting to see the difference in cabana locations with the newest map vs Alicia's 4 months ago

Ok the left it looks the same- the exception being the two just above Punga racers. However- there are two large huts on that same spot just underneath where Seth circled on the left by Punga racers. Those should be the family Cabanas with the other two being in center north end just NE of Krakatau.

the right of the volcano looks like ~5 were added to the right of krakatau and below kid area. While 3 look to be removed just below Honu. And lastly- a single one above tot tiki reef (this might be the ideal spot for us w/ kids- close enough to runamukka without being IN runamukka).

From that count it looks like they had 33 planned in April and now they have 38- 4 of which are family ones.

That goes along with what we heard that they've added more than they originally had planned.

There's more than one concierge hut for cabana checkin. Everyone goes to the one near the entrance while the ones further back are empty.

We only did seating, but I thought I was told that the other locations were for towels (maybe Express if it ever comes back).

I could be wrong and things do change, but when I was there, it seems more of a paper/chalk board set up which to me would be difficult to run from multiple locations.

I hope you're wrong, I just booked chairs for the end of this month, and specifically asked if I could go to the concierge huts in the back to check in. The sales rep said yes, but they say anything to get your credit card ;)

Just some insight for all:

Just booked a single cabana for September 27th. Got a Rainforest village stand alone 6 person cabana. Spoke with an agent was a simple process, $249.99 was cheapest available. Came out to total of $266

Hour early of course due to staying at Sapphire, towel/locker provided, tapu tapu in your cabana, fruit/snacks, outlets for charging and wifi. Concierge ordering/delivery for lunch, ceiling fan.

Pretty pricey considering website says they "start at $159" however, due to season I guess its more (even though September is usually 'down season') must be cheaper during winter?

Anyways, we're excited, for the freedom it gives us -- the privacy, locker, tapu tapu at our fingertips, roof if there is a storm, lunch ordering and of course complimentary water bottles/fruit/snacks we feel its worth it!

Cant wait to go....will take plenty of pics and review it when we return! 39 days woot woot

Im there Friday Sept 8th and will do the same. :)

I'm curious- are we supposed to tip the server/attendant? Is it customarily a standard tip or is it a percentage of spend?

Great question, my wife asked the same.....with the price and them saying its included with the purchase id think not.

However a couple bucks here or there if they get me lunch or a bucket o'beers wont be too bad I guess.

We tipped at least 20% on our food and beverage. Bill came out to $500 so we tipped over $100.

That makes sense, it just seemed odd that, when I was there, that they use a board and computer print outs to deal with advanced reservations.

I get it, I brought it up for when I was in line, they would tell folks that towels are at the other huts, but anyone coming for a seat or a Cabana was told to wait at that first one.

I imagine @King_K. is correct on this one as it would make sense...but then again, maybe I would have one for the rainforest, one for the...who am I kidding, the signs would be a mess to explain that one to John Q Public.

My only gripe with the cabana experience is that the "concierge" hut I stopped at was assisting guests there for towels... a group of seven adults.. all wanting to split what I imagine is the $4 towel charge across their individual credit cards. Meanwhile, I'm wasting ride time waiting behind them in the same line and I spent $600. Cabana check-ins and towel rentals should definitely not be in the same place.

Damned peasants!

Ya- there should be a little "cabana/preferred seating" sign with its own check-in person for sure.

Hey when you said the cabanas tapu tapu took long what did you mean by that?

We have a cabana next month, and were really looking forward to tapping in from the comfort of our cabana, did you find it a convenience? I saw your family didn't use it much.

Sorry. I worded that poorly. It took extra time to get the cabana (unrelated to Tapu Tapu). People were walking around wet and riding slides while I was still dealing with the concierge hut. That's what I meant by it took long.

Regarding the in-cabana Tapu station...for us it was simply inconvenient. We only went to our cabana a few times. When we weren't at our cabana we weren't going to walk all the way back just to use the kiosk. We'd tap into a slide out in the park. When we were there, we usually were already tapped into something. Our cabana was not centrally located so that could have been part of the issue. The main use case I saw was get off a slide and you want to return to your canbana to decide what to do next. That only happened to us once. All other times we were working our way around the park.

Hope that makes sense.

Sure does!

thanks for your in depth review, we may have your exact cabana (stand alone rainforest) hopefully the crowds are dead end of September on a Wednesday so we can have a good experience!

Sorry if this was said, but they re-opened cabana reservations?! This is exciting because we're booking a family cabana for our group for HHN.
