It could just be a support cable to stop it toppling over.

I assume that only one side of the volcano skeleton is currently being built. They will add all the bits they need inside and then close it over with the remaining steel needed.

Possibly! I am struck wondering "how do engineers engineer that confusing mess of steel?". Where does one begin?

Engineers, who as children, their favorite toy was the unworkable "Erector Sets". ;)

What do you think that long cable reaching to the square platform in the center is all about?

And, why is one side of the volcano dropping vertically so fast and not sloping. Hmmm.

I'm not convinced that the brown looking steel is permanent.

It looks exactly like the temporary structure that was used to hold up the floating mountain in Pandora before the support structure was complete and load bearing. Could they be using that to hold up one side of the volcano until the other sides structure gets put up and then remove it, leaving a huge cavern inside the volcano?

I say this because every point where the volcano structure meets the foundation there are definitive poured footers but the center square brown steel seems to be just temporarily bolted to the foundation with no footer.

Also that cable reaching across seems to be an approximation of the slop on that side of the volcano. Meaning the side facing the wave pool will be the steepest face and the opposite side a much wider base.

There is a hotel/motel here that has the most stupid and ugly fountain I have ever seen. It is just a bunch of rounded 30" boulders piled up into a conical shape. It looks like dino rabbit poop with a 24" gusher shooting out of the top. I scowl every time I drive by it.

Haha you and me both!

I wanna see the cool Proslides start getting built. All they've built so far are the standard waterpark fare style slides. Show me the bowls and funnels and tornado waves and water coasters already!

I'd assume that it will be the slides first then the theming quickly after.

I wonder if the fire is causing the delay we're seeing with any substantial/noticeable additions. Seems like things have slowed down a bit.

I really want there to be trams going to/from the garage (don't think upholstered chairs in buses work well with wet bathing suits), doesn't it seem like the tram-path turns (in red) are a little too sharp for a long train to make?

The Disney World parking trams make an extremely tight U-turn that buses cannot make, so I'd say a tram can make any turn you throw at it.

BTW, "Sapphire Falls Construction Yard" on that map is where Hotel #6 is going.

This is the u turn section for the trams at MK compared to the turn next to the pond. I don't see any issues.

I'm okay with smaller bathrooms if it gets us a couple more rides. :)

Like more restrooms would stop that. Indoor plumbing is a novelty for some of these folks.

That is just nasty. My daughter swims competitively, and even at meets where it takes two people and a shoehorn to get her into her suit she won't pee in the pool. Showers, yes. Pool no..
