I'd hate to be the poor guy who has to clean that from the inside. It'd take me at least 40-50 rides to get it all wiped down.

Deep Water Dive at Kentucky Kingdom - which I guess in three weeks will be the world's second tallest drop slide - is actually open below the platform. The tube on Ko'okiri Body Plunge is there mainly to protect the rider from the force of the waterfall in front of it. There of course is also the "low ceiling" for where the slide goes through the pool at the foot of Krakatau.

I think once VB opens it will have the three tallest slides in North America, which is insane. (4th,5th, and 6th worldwide?)

Does anyone know what that silver metal platform below the drop capsule is for?

May relate to the patent with water filling into the capsule etc.

Really hope it isn't permanent! May just be for finishing work under the capsule.

THIS IS GOING TO BE INSANE! The slide is going to be super fast for the rider to clear that gap! Alternatively there maybe a sharp bend just to the left that we can't see that loops you around the top of the gap which again would be pretty mental because you then get a look upside down at the inside of the volcano!

Nice view from Bioreconstruct from a distance:

I think it may be permanent... it's not scaffold pole construction and has grating and railings. Hopefully it is covered or themed at some point.

Which brings us again to the steel supports for the staircases. How will they be themed? Wood beams perhaps?

Maybe all the cats will vacate Disney and move to VB for the best new home ever.

I'm also sure there's a joke to be made here about cats and mice and Mickey Mouse.
