I'd be more intrigued if those were actually relevant to the 50 years of the resort's history and not just "Here's a bunch of Disney characters!"

But that seems to be Disney's general approach to this anniversary; not a celebration of the parks, but just "Disney" in a much more generic way.

What else is new. They make so much money off of Disney doing this that I can't even really blame them and Disney's happy to have their money. It's a mutually beneficial relationship.

I saw the rope drop photos and thought it would be nuts, but I kinda wish I was there today. 40 min for 7DMT is low

Odd how Disney's all "oh it's bad if people wait hours for a new ride we're going to make everyone miserable with Boarding Groups and Virtual Line" yet this happens every single time with merch. Hmmmmmm

Apparently you had to get in a virtual queue to get into the stores with specialty merch today. So there's that.

Even at Disney prices I'm struggling to hit $300 worth of souvenirs, it's absurd :bigeye:

Not sure how much the new glow lights on the monorails has been talked about, but I saw the monorails last night with the new LEDs underneath and it looks really good, especially going around Epcot as Epcot's entrance has a lot of LED activity right now with SSE and the newly added lights above the entrance/exit.

Here's a monorail going through Epcot so you can see what I mean:

It should come with at least 2 shares of DIS at that price. Most of that is cheap paper goods.
