What's next for Busch Gardens Tampa??

Heard from multiple sources that the new park president said it’ll be open by the end of the month. Hasn’t tested I believe so I doubt it’ll be before April, but it’s looking a lot more optimistic than months past

Since we don't seem to have a general BGT update thread, I'm hoping better food protocols are next for the park...



Honestly, I only go there once a year now for Howl-O-Scream and usually grab an early dinner somewhere locally on the way. Doesn't look like that's changing anytime soon.

Their 2nd major restaurant shut down in a year lol. This also includes the only employee grill for the entire park

I haven’t eaten in the parks for a while. Anything remotely good is very overpriced (the Cuban sandwich in Serengeti Outlook for example). I usually just go to the Qdoba by the university or have something for breakfast elsewhere.

But yikes, this is pretty awful! This kind of news will further cement my strategy of not eating in the park.

Health department shutdown Zagora cafe last August for similar reasons

Betting they were going to put 'Breaded Roaches' , they were raising, on the menu, passing off as tasting like chicken (nuggets). Plan stymied by Health Dept. Probably would have been overpriced anyway.

Talked about this exact venue last week in another thread. Crazy timing haha! This was my experience at HoS Tampa last October.

Food was dreadful though. Gave me 2 small "chicken tenders" in a lil cardboard tray for $15. They were somehow simultaneously the dryest and slimiest pieces of "chicken" I've ever had lmao. Scariest part of the night. The show they had going on as I "ate" was a real stinker too.

So, yeah ... good riddance!

I honestly never cared for this water ride that much. I definitely like Congo River Rapids better (and honestly, Tidal Wave too - RIP).

It is right next to the Scorpion plot only separated by the Serengeti Express so they could build a larger new attraction if they wanted to (like a modern water ride). I wonder if they can even create a new path/bridge connecting Stanleyville to Pantopia. I always heard criticism of the park’s layout being too long to walk around, and this could be a good shortcut.

A pathway located here connecting Pantopia to Stanleyville is my #1 Blue Sky wish for the park. Just makes it easier for everyone if this were connected together.
