See I think you could make the Emerald City something close to Wizarding Paris. The scale and spectacle that they display in the film, alongside the scenarios that happen in Part 1 makes it feel distinctly prime for something special as a themed land. If all else, to see an E-Ticket where you could have Creature Tech find a way to make the "All Powerful Oz" setpiece worth it.

You could.....in 5+ years

The issue is we know it wont be until after 2030 unless....something at USH is changing but with the Mummy lockers being updated...I just have no idea what USH future is because they seem to not want to get ride of anything besides Simpsons in the next 6 years.

But We have nothing in 2027 at USH...so if we got a new mini land with a nice restaurant, street show, and some fun interactive elements I could live with that....would I want a ride as well? 100% but once again it can't come until years from now, so why not use the last dead space we have to make something that would make that area super busy

Because I'd rather see them take the play that Disney made with Tokyo, of getting it right and having a home run with their golden goose, as opposed of having a hasty and quick job.

We can have both?

Also once again USH won't be seeing anything like that for years...why wait when in the next two years we could get a new area and if one day they have room for an e ticket GO for it...Im also not opposed to having two Wicked area's in park...people loveeee Oz.

As for the other parks they should go nuts with it, I agree but at USH....we don't have room and the management refuses to make room for us to get more E tickets...so here we are. But I agree would love a nice land with an E ticket with the amazing music but that's for other parks for now....I do hope the Tram moves and we can dream of Wicked, Zelda, Dreamworks land or at least How to train your Dragon....but for now its all blue sky because they arent removing the mummy and they aren't moving the tram so we can use land up to fall's lake and the studios doesn't want to give up more sound stages in the lower lot...until the decide what to do next...we USH are just stuck with a coaster and dreams of E tickets.

It was an awesome film but I honestly have no interest in it as a theme park setting.

Wicked exceeded ALL expectations for me (and they were high). Arianna really committed to this with acting and singing lessons and it showed. She was funny and touching (to me she was the biggest risk). All the performances were great and I see it being nominated and winning many awards. I’m actually amazed that the surprise cameo remained a surprise. Looking forward to seeing it again very soon.

I couldn’t help but think the Shiz sets looked a lot like Lost Continent…

And my wife (who is way pickier than I) said this was worth coming back out to a theater for.

I’ll probably wait a week or two for the hype to die down following the reports about fans singing along in theaters.

Saw it last night and, as an “non-fan”, enjoyed it immensely.

I had forgotten how funny this show is. Grande has real comedic chops.

Having had a couple of days to think back on the film versus the Broadway show (which I saw twice, including with the original cast), I have come to appreciate the film more and more. It really does a better job of fleshing out the story and making it more cohesive. The addition of the cameo which explains the story more was inspired, and I really think this movie will become a new classic.

My husband is one of the worlds biggest Oz fans having read all the original books, fan of Wicked (the book) before musical, and has been in ingesting all of the media and details. He sent me this little thing today from one of the actors—

IMG_6685.jpeg

Now, it’s just an off hand remark from an actor, but I have to wonder if perhaps they may have had people from UC come to the sets? I have to imagine with all the “synergy” around this movie from across the Comcast brands they have to be fast tracking “more” for the parks. Supposedly they have a sequel or two (beyond part 2) in the works according to Stephen Shwartz and Winnie Holzman.

Also from that interview they mentioned Jonathan Bailey smells wonderful, so I have a new goal in life to smell Jonathan Bailey…
