I am not sure if this is a good title change, if only because of how much Part 1 was used for the title of Wicked once people saw the film itself.

Also kind of wonder if this is as a byproduct of them wanting to keep the "WICKED" name going forward to use for other films beyond this one.

This does allow them to do “Wicked: [Sequel]” more easily. Especially because it seems like the second film may shift somewhat dramatically from the stage. Two new songs are already confirmed, and it’s evidently going to focus a good bit on Glinda’s growth. That opens a LOT of potential for new stories, as…
