Don't feel guilty, we all have the same objective, it's no different than people clogging up the lines to get repeats in. Blame Universal. Express needs to exist because Express exists. Until they get rid of it, I'll personally keep utilizing it because waiting in general freakin' SUCKS literally because of how Express bypasses lines with 0 wait. And if it ain't gonna be us buying Express, it dang sure will be someone else -- so it might as well be us. After all, we ARE paying nearly THREE times as much as a normal day ticket for the privilege -- we could easily just go three times, but instead we said "hey, I want to go once and I want it to be great." It IS a premium and those ticketholders should get that experience. Should the line be as fast? Perhaps not, but it shouldn't be much slower either, because I barely finish everything with Express as it is (I'm always lugging around 7-15 additional people with me).

In a way I feel like I've "done my time" with the general line waits, as I barely started doing Express last year after more than 20 years of Haunts. However, I will HAPPILY -- and I emphasize HAPPILY -- wait in general if Express doesn't exist anymore. I experienced Disneyland without FastPass/Lightening Lane and it was amazing -- I can't think of a system more fair. But I won't take the moral high ground and wait 2 hours for a maze or stress myself with gameplans in the meantime, it literally helps nobody because like I said -- if it's not us, it certainly will be someone else paying that premium. If there's a major boycott to change the system, best believe I'd partake, but if all we get is the people on this forum to rally, it won't make a dent. Something drastic needs to happen, like a viral TikTok that makes Universal look REALLY REALLY BAD (this is where that footage may come in handy @Jerroddragon).

Even if they got rid of Express and not RIP, that'd be fine. Or even if they made Express MUCH MORE expensive so that it's much harder to acquire, it'd be harder for most people to get that ticket -- Universal makes the same amount of money but less people in Express lines, it's a win-win. But ultimately, I'd prefer, even if they raised prices by 25% for GA, that they simply get rid of Express or have non-Express nights. I don't know, now I'm spitballing and rambling. Point is, Universal is the bad guy here, not the users of Express haha

lol dark harbor has 3 lines. Theres like a “express” line and then a “vip” line. Them lines used to be crazy. GA was like 2 hours, the express an hour… vip 10 minutes LMAO

Technically we have three lines as well. Or at least we did last year, didn't pay attention this year.

I don't go to HHN without express on either coast.
I mainly only go on weekends, and i usually do HHN on one night and Disney party on the other, whether it's Oogie Bash or Not So Scary.
The truth is I don't know what's going on outside of my state(PA), so when i go to FL or CA and i'm surprised it's Hell Week due to nearby townships giving kids off of school or just a busy night in general, i'm able to attend without really sweating it. I've always done express and will never go back. It's worth the investment for the one night i'm able to go each year.
I understand that i'm moreso the target demo for that type of ticket type than y'all who go FFP but even if i were to go more than once a year, it'd still be something i'd try to get if i could afford it(which i understand is the biggest hurdle for most).

Guess that means no locked in IPs being announced at the end of the run like Chucky that one year.

I don't necessarily think that him starting design now shoots down a Universal IP getting announced in November.

Personally speaking--I actually wonder if M3GAN might be something worth considering; given how big she is and with M3GAN 2.0 releasing next year in June. Might be a bit early for that though (plus we need the remaining IP for Fan Fest Nights announced (and hell, it could be more possible that Horror Unleashed might be the November announcement given that seems to be aiming for 2025)).

I think we will get monstros again, universal monsters might be coming back. other than that, I don’t see them repeating anything. Probably bring back some stuff from the past tho that hasn’t been in the park in a while… remember they brought back house of 1000 corpses, maybe more original stuff will come.

I still think it’s cool the movie was based off the maze and not the other way around.

I'm not going to get into next year's speculation and risk the considerable wrath of the staff here, but anecdotally, it does seem like attendance is down based off forum reports of wait times, and I'm curious to see if this continues into October.

Its a yes/no situation. This past weekend was significantly busier than the first two. I went last night briefly long enough to do 3 things & leave. Didn't feel like staying out in the chilly weather until waittimes dropped..

Even if attendance picks up throughout the rest of the run, you still have to look at weekends 1 and 2 underselling, which in of itself is a lot of money. I wouldn't say we're in budget decrease territory yet, but we're certainly in budget staying the same territory.

Unironically I'm looking at Terror Tram's numbers--and wondering to myself if they might've finally hit a breaking point. Been hearing that wait times for the experience have consistently been going downwards, especially during this year's event.

I've seen Terror Tram waittimes jump from 10-15min up to 30-40min in a very short time span. I personally won't wait for it if the waittime is 30+ (even 20min is pushing it lol)

I recommend hitting Terror Tram before 9pm because that's when it seems to spike until it closes
