Oooo Treehouse means GAMES. Not too tough to guess, but it's incredibly exciting to have some kind of confirmation.

I don't know why anyone was anticipating there wouldn't be games shown here. They wouldn't do a Direct just to talk about hardware details.

Hey, Nintendo is weird like that sometimes! I didn't actually expect that there wouldn't be games, but this soft confirmation via a few Treehouse streams is really fun to hear. I'm just excited honestly!

Metroid Prime 4 at 4K 60fps and Donkey Kong Bananza were the major highlights for me. Mario Kart World also looks absolutely insane. I bought Kirby and The Forgotten Land on a Black Friday sale and still haven’t started it yet so it might be worth it to just upgrade it for my first play through. I hope the price isn’t too high to upgrade so I can also do it for BotW and TotK, I might actually finish the latter this time lol. No presence from Microsoft is a bit of a shocker but it seems like they didn’t announce much for late in the year at all considering Donkey Kong is coming in July.

WHY NO DATE FOR PRIME 4 THOUGH!!!!!! :sob:

Edit: I’m also having a thought that Donkey Kong is being developed by the 3D Mario team which could be why we don’t have 3D Mario. Speaking of which I’m surprised Odyssey isn’t getting a Switch 2 Edition.

Yo, WHAT?!?!

There’s no way the bundle is saving us $30 from buying it separate and/or physically. No way.

Nintendo being the 1st ones to sell $80 games boggles my mind, but I'm not that surprised. I've always felt like Nintendo gets a pass for things that gamers would crucify Sony or Microsoft over.

Also based on this, those "GTA6 for $100" rumors just might be accurate.

Interesting Direct. MKW looks great, Donkey Kong looks fantastic and is something I’ve wanted for a long time. Kirby Air Ride was fun, although I don’t know what to expect since I didn’t play the original. The wheelchair game is a gamble, but looks interesting. But I can’t help but feel like a LOT of time was wasted. Like an absurd amount of time.

There was no reason they needed to spend that much time talking about games like Split Fiction that are already released. Or the 2K section, or bringing Randy Pitchford on to talk about Borderlands. Or the Hitman people.

And Deltarune was an amazing surprise, but there’s nothing about that game that will be exclusive to Switch 2, so that could’ve been a solo announcement.

By the time all the third party stuff was done and they announced Gamecube for NSO, as exciting as it was, I was just desperate for them to shut up about it and announce the first party games.

I get that it’s a huge deal that for the first time since the Gamecube Nintendo is on the same power level as the competition and can actually get current gen games, but I really thought we would see more first party announcements in the longest Direct in history.

It will be interesting to see if Nintendo can sell this console with Mario Kart World, the wheelchair game, Donkey Kong Bananza, Kirby Air Riders and at the end of the year the new Hyrule Warriors as the only exclusives. They all look like great games, but I don’t know if they’re BOTW - MK8D - Splatoon 2 - Mario Odyssey great. Remains to be seen

Mario Kart World is $80, but Donkey Kong Bananza is $70 and I’d expect that to be the typical price of games, as anticipated. I wonder if MKW comes with an accessory or something.

$80 according to nintendo
i feel like something is missing to get that big of a discount on the bundle. Was going to try and buy them individually, but with the savings I can't justify that if I have the chance to get the bundle.

90$ physical games

Not all Nintendo switch 1 games being compatible is already a weird thing but then having to pay for the FPS unlock on BOTW is also crazy, but not out of the norm..

the price difference from the Japanese only version of the switch 2 vs the multi language is huge (roughly 120 USD). I live in Japan now but i wonder if I moved to any other country will it still work.

The Switch 1 games that won’t compatible are most likely any games that used the IR sensor or any other feature that didn’t jump to the Switch 2.

You will only be able to play Japan region games forsure.

This is looking like Nintendo’s ps3 lol. ( based on the price shock)

Wait so there’s a Japanese switch 2 that isn’t region free?
