With some creative touches, a queue retheme would only require the placement of pre-fabricated items/props and painting. The actual structure of the building would remain the same. Universal's team is very fast.

I haven't been on Supercharged at UOR with the queue and all (I've been on tram at USH), but I wonder if they could re-theme this attraction with new film and set-dressing the building and queue for JAWS. Could it feel like you are onboard the Orca with Bruce menacing you from all sides? 2025 is the 50th anniversary of the movie, it seems that would have been a neat way to pump some life into USF this summer with Epic opening.

Interesting indeed! If they were to gut this, there’s simply a lot they can do in many different directions. Will be interesting

Honestly I could see them giving this ride the Poseidon's Fury treatment. Closing it but not doing anything with this space for a year or 2

That is definitely in the realm of possibility.

I don't think any of us should find that an acceptable possibility, though. Close it with intent to replace immediately, or keep it open until you intend to replace it.

So possible back to back Studios additions in '27 & '28? (I only say 2027 for Rockit because I don't think they can open it in time for 2026)

Do we have it on good faith that the RRR replacement will be F&F? Or is that just guesswork?

Because that could significantly change the dynamic on when this could close.

F&F has been the leader in the rumor clubhouse, but a few people seem to have also heard that Ghostbusters is also a possibility. But there's been nothing definitive.

I think that would be a waste of GB, and a minimally-themed, semi-industrial-esque coaster seems perfect for F&F.

The way it was explained was F&F would close because the coaster is the NEW F&F, and the current would close before the coaster opens so they can do whatever they plan to do with it (gut/demolish/whatever).

I don’t buy the “close it and let it sit” theory if and when it closes…why would a park that’s hurting for capacity (who is already closing HRRR and potentially Simpson’s/others) just let a vacant building sit?

Now I know the argument coming back at me…Poseidon’s was not related to anything but run cost and upkeep cost after physical damage…these two things are not the same. You could make a case for Sinbad and I’d have nothing in rebuttal other than a plethora of other people eaters available.

The only way I see them closing without replacement plans/construction beginning is if the cost to keep it open outweighs the cost of closing it and letting it sit.

And for as awful as this ride is, who here would actually prefer ANOTHER vacant building over a lackluster ride? It’s not a good look.

It's also worth considering the ride's current sponsorship with NAPA Auto Parts. If they're helping to pay for the ride's upkeep, then it's in Universal's interest to keep it open for the time being.

Not to be a jerk and rub it in your faces Floridians, but as of 4:30PM Pacific time…Supercharged is no longer our problem.

Look in the bright side! You can still ride Disaster…..at the California park! *Evil laughter*

From Len Testa: while he could be wrong (*let's hope he's not!*), Len has heard the next project after Orlando Drift, is a redo of the FF area for BTTF.
