I don’t know his pedigree or experience, so I can’t speak to if there’s an issue at that level, or not.

But I would say in general, sometimes you just need to tell people higher up “keep it simple, stupid.”

I’m not saying whether the guy did or didn’t champion TapuTapu but…I dont know, someone who was so inclined could probably draw that conclusion themselves if they dug into LinkedIn or something…

If he was responsible for TapuTapu, that would be very much be a positive on his resume, as that was one of the best aspects and innovations of the park.

My concern is less that people who didn’t buy a ticket are going to compete with me for a dinner reservation (although, yes). It’s the added nuisance of having to scan my face so often inside a park I’ve already proven I’m allowed to be in. If they’re able to tighten things up with the scanners, obviously this could be moot.

Yeah, that's my only gripe with the idea. But like you said, if things are able to be streamlined quickly, all good.

I’m guessing that they decided they want a park-exclusive window of availability before they release it elsewhere, given that it’s listed as “coming soon” on the shopping site. Hopefully that window is short for streaming.

I just need a friend or relative to visit and want to go to Epic so I have an excuse to go and get this myself.

Quick updates! The new moving light fixtures for the show seem to be being tested in four different areas of Celestial Park. Shown in the post of Adventuring with Annie


They are the same fixtures from the same manufacturer I have mentioned before(Veloce Profile from Ayrton), besides the new lighting staging area near the main fireworks pad(they are more of a high-performing moving spots). Glad these moving beams seem to be bright enough for the new nighttime show.

those blues are so vivid in the morning sky! I swear they have a laser quality to the depth/richness of the color. Can't wait until they show off what this park can do!

I swore I heard it would open this year, but who knows. I imagine adding another restaurant to the park isn't the highest priority lol

They took the signs off the doors months ago so no clue what’s happening now

Keeping the maximum attendance way under pre opening projections is not a formula for a lot of restaurants. Until Universal fixes Epic's severe capacity issue, I would doubt any major restaurant openings. Perhaps after the rumored new D/E attractions open in two to four years from now.

Unfortunately, an underbuilt park leaves lots of money on the table.

While they have a cap of 25k, the park almost never hits that number. Over Memorial Day Weekend they didn't even get close. Although, they are still restricting access by not offering an AP option and Loews employees still aren't given any kind of access.
