Eventually, I'd like to see them roll out the overnight paint crews (from the parks initial years) that would come in to touch up facades props and pathways... Granted, the Hat and Hulk are larger projects, but why not keep most of your park looking good?

Because it cost $ & a possible shut down to the ride (which I think those reasions are bull crap).

I think these updates aren't doing anything, and I'm sorry for being so blunt.

If Universal proceeds to file all necessary paperwork and get the paint ordered and have the necessary days to paint, then the ride will be painted, and I'm almost sure that'll be the case in 2011. I'm not even mad that it's not painted. I ask every new person with whom I visit Universal to say their take on the rust, and all of them have said they never noticed.

Also, Hulk is and has always been quite a rough ride sometimes and a smooth one other times, so it's obviously got something to do with the vehicles or the wheels.

Let's stop scrutinizing Universal for this because our persistence has obviously alerted Universal and actions will be taken.

You don't need to be sorry, it's true. The updates are just updates.

I feel so to that the ride will be painted in 2011 but is sad though is that it took people over months to have Universal know (or know by now) this problem is happening. Also why people don't notice this problem is that people are / usually look at the broad picture and fail to look at the details that reaily make the ride spectacular. The problem is something not broad, but detailed & aweful to look at.

Also, Hulk is and has always been quite a rough ride sometimes and a smooth one other times, so it's obviously got something to do with the vehicles or the wheels.

This can be true via. proven by HRRR and The Roller Coaster in Las Vegas (before the Premire updates) having rough cars and maybe tracks to.

Let's stop scrutinizing Universal for this because our persistence has obviously alerted Universal and actions will be taken.

If their is any actions Universal is going to do for the Hulk. Just lightly saying. :bang:

So as you can see, pretty much the same story. A little rust here, a little discoloring there. Still is in serious need of a refurb. the ride itself is still fairly smooth, although my head did bang around a bit at points.

EDIT: Sorry if their a little on the large side.

It was fairly jerky but no more rough or jerky than it always has been.

Is it single rider queue and normal queue now? I remember it being queue for the front line and queue for the other lines. I didn't go on it when we went last year

I remember when I was 15 I think, the park had just recently opened, and me and my friend had agreed before we went that we would go on the Hulk (we decided it looked less scary than DD?!?!); as our FIRST ever roller coaster. We queued up and saw the queue split. We joined the slightly shorter queue, but noticed it seemed to be moving slower. Once we got to the front, we looked back and saw the sign saying it was the queue for the front row! The attendant tried to shuffle us inot the front row, but I got seriously freaked out, saying "This is the first proper coaster we've ever been on! We didn't realise it was the front row queue! Please let us go on a row further back!"..but he wasn't having any of it!! Just kept saying "It'll be fun! Do it! I won't let you change rows!!", laughing at us!

Man, I was petrified, and on that first drop (which I still hate), I remember thinking "if this drop is how roller coasters feel throughout the whole ride, I'm never going again" XD thankfully after the first drop it was fun :) although I haven't been back on the front row since and now sure I ever will want to!!

Haha, great story (Hulk was my very first proper coaster too if you don't count Scorpion at BGT), but yes, that is how the line is today. The single rider queue separates from the normal rider queue like all other rides at the entrance, but then (only for the normal rider queue if I recall) you have the option to split into the Front Row and All Other Rows mini-queues right before entering the Doctor's office.

Now you have to remember, single rider isn't ALWAYS open. Its only when needed.

The single rider queue goes back where the Express queue is and you go to the same spot, a back door by row 8 loading zone.

I admit that I can be >:0 when single rider isn't opened, but there have been many times where they've posted 20 minute waits that are essentially walk-ons.
