Orlando Rocks got some new pictures of the waterfront. The dewatering pipes along the old lagoon wall have been removed. I imagine that the walls themselves are not long for this world.

wow that first one really helps put the size of this expansion into perspective. Will this be a larger area then IOA's section?

It seems the entrance is very narrow, very good chance that they will close the area off when it gets too busy, and use the "alternative entrance" as an EXIT only. I can see the lines now.....

You have to remeber that there will be entering the area through the Hogwarts Express as well, which may make things even more crowded. It will be interesting to see how they handle this. I think the "Future Use" sections will be made into new service roads, as the current service road looks to be in the pathway of the new train.

Probably, though who knows how it will end up after the train station area is constructed at IoA. Dragons takes up so much room over there.

Well, it's more a "train" than a true train. Expect it to be more like the monorail than a train.

YOUR Pancras????? or perhaps something from St. Pancras London?

Edit: guess I was right haha! His original post was just "I saw my Pancras today" (with no pics) LOL

Thanks Disneyhead! Are these from the same company where you got the facade pics for Potter 1?

Isn't St. Pancras as those are not Moorish designs. Still very Gothic... so Hogwart's coming station at best.

I'm interested to see how they do the Hogsmede side of the HE. In the films, the station is just a simple, exposed platform with no coverings or anything.

They did film at two different stations. One was a real train platform in the first films and then there was the forest station later on. Forest station was more of a gothic covered structure.

Oh man, I'm pretty excited if they're already beginning work on the facade, should mean construction should start in force soon.

Zoom in on the dormers (mini windows at the top) in the following picture and you will see that each element has a perfect circle top center. That is moor design. The pictures above are great to see but unless someone at nassal is on crack, that ain't Pancras.

Not necessarily. It's more that they have tons of this intricate work to build and paint.

That's true, and it's still exciting. This is my first time following a project of this magnitude, so I'm still learning a lot about how much work goes into these things.

Teebin, I see what your saying, but I still stand by my assesment that the pieces parts laying around are pieces of the WWOHP 2.0s version of King's Cross Station. I am betting St. Pancras will not even be mentioned in the park (as it was never mentioned in the book). So technically I should have said, "Ladies and Gentlemen. I present King's Cross Station."

But you can't very well make organ puns out of that, so the phrasing was understandable.

Very interesting stuff. :rep:

You may well be correct that Pancras won't be present because of the books! Were you told by someone in the know that the pieces in your photographs are for 'the station(s)'? The pieces look very much like the forest station Order of the Phoenix. (I love the end of that film; makes me weepy)
