Nobody cares about credit in this situation. HTF isn't upset about the VIP info being shared on another site because it's "his". He's upset because it's not supposed to be shared. It's not public information. It's specific and can be tracked back to a source. He doesn't care about OU, he cares about his source's job. He trusted a select few people because of posters like the ones complaining about him, and even they betrayed him.

If he cared that much about his sources job, he wouldn't say anything at all.

If he didn't share anything, then what would you read on Screamscape a week later?

Could we please take this somewhere else? I don't want pages of drama bogging down one of the most important threads here.

We're all here as guests, save for a few. Know your place, and respect others.

Back to topic:

Screamscape reported that there is a new crane in IoA for Potter.

I don't think I had the whole story when I made that post, and I see the point of being upset if you are talking about peoples jobs on the line. Im a little less understanding of the "credit" thing, as pretty much everything posted on the internet comes from some where else in the first place. I understand traffic, and making sure you are known as the top source for rumors and news, but in reality eventually this stuff gets out, and no one really cares where it comes from.

I also think it seems a little strange to have a paid VIP section giving restricted/unsharable content, but if that's the way you want the site to run that's your choice I guess. Seems even less ethical then just posting rumors or riddles on the main boards.

I think if you choose to share info, that isn't supposed to be shared, and know can cause people to loose jobs, then maybe it shouldn't be shared? That being said, have we ever been officially told that someone in the industry was fired for posting theme park rumors? I mean is this really a thing? or is it message board paranoia?

Sorry to be so skeptical. Like I said, I love the site, I just find all of this stuff a little ridiculous.

Agreed. If you have a problem with any of the posts, please bring it to PM. Otherwise, Phase II is happening.

I couldn't agree more with you. Mainly on the point that some of you do take yourselves WAY to seriously. We're all here along for the ride, to watch these projects come to fruition, it's just a bit of fun really.

But when you get jealous and whiny when another site is relaying what you said, it's time to wake up and put things in perspective. This is the 21st century, what do you expect? And when you delegate 'information' to 'VIP' members.. well that's just shady as hell. Especially when you've got excellent sites like screamscape whom I've been following for 8 years now, giving out all the info he gets with no compensation from readers whatsoever. And i know you don't like Lance, because he 'steals' your information, well think of this.. don't you steal information from your informant? How does he feel? Does he get jealous too?

Yes, I'm talking to you Hatetofly. I'm sick of the way you place yourself upon this pedestal of knowledge, throwing down crumbs of rumours to us peasants while you bask in the glory of it all. It's embarrassing to watch.

Personally I'd happily go without anymore information from you again. And to spread fake information to catch someone out? That is pathetic.

Rhino4evr, is right, this isn't top secret CIA info, these are theme park rumours... theme park rumours

You want a well-thought-out rebuttal?

1. Just because you don't want to take things seriously doesn't mean the rest of us shouldn't. Like others said, this can go as far as to lose people jobs, and lose sources whose info separates this forum from the rest of 'em.
2. So what century we're in justifies wrongdoing, lack of etiquette, or just common courtesy?
3. Who told you Screamscape isn't being compensated? Ads = $
4. HTF is the one not compensated! He works harder for OU and us than Screamscape and a lot of theme park sites and forums, FOR FREE!
5. HTF chose to give the info in the VIP area, to give back to those of us who supported OU, not him. He got no compensation, other than our gratitude, and well, I guess the round of Duffs I'll get him once I have the pleasure of meeting him.
6. Stop talking about pedestals, when you are putting yourself on a high horse and passing judgement. Don't be a hypocrite...
7. Bottom line: They're the staff and they call the shots. They chose this harmless method to catch a leak that was/is ruining the fun for ALL of us. Deal with it.

Not sure if this has been answered or addressed (too many pages to go through and search didn't help me): how would Hogwarts Express work when it comes to capacity crowds and parks possibly being closed off for a time (like during Christmas week) when it takes people from one park to another? Are the numbers of people going into that park so small that it won't matter?

And would the queue be able to handle 300 minute waits?

The point of the source is to share the information they have direct knowledge of to people just as excited about these expansions as they are. They are meant not only for HTF's own personal knowledge but to also help spur and build excitement online for us all.

When a reporter breaks a story, they get CREDIT for breaking that story...in the industry of theme park rumors and website, it is a BIG DEAL when you have information others don't have. This site saw its first major birth and spurt when they started with the Choppa pictures 3 years ago for Phase 1...this site is now going through again another growth spurt with Phase 2...this site has grown in popularity in both rank and traffic in just the last month alone and surpassing many other "well known" theme park websites.

So YES it is a big deal when it comes to information, both in the growth of this site, the jobs and livelyhoods of those with direct knowledge of the projects, and both for Briman and HTF...this site at one point was in the direct line of fire of UO Legal because TOO much information was leaked during Phase 1...so be happy we are getting something more than just over the wall pictures and generics of "I hope this happens, or this happens"....this information HTF is giving isn't a rumor....its 100% real, cold hard facts, and unfortunately he had to spread a fake rumor in order to sniff out a rat....and if you don't like that, well too bad...maybe YOU are that rat under a different name just trying to cause drama.

With that said, get over it, drink a shot of tequila, or rum, or butterbeer, move on and enjoy it while we have because a revolution is coming to Orlando bigger than you know, so don't ruin it for yourself and others by complaining.

With that said...mooooooooooooooooooooving on :focus:

Any idea how many Horcruxes we may see in the ride or in the streets maybe? Maybe random graffiti on walls of the Deathly Hallows symbol?

Well think about it this way: The train will be running both directions, meaning people will be traveling from park to park. Now, if a park is full then the train is most likely full. So you're simply taking away a train load, and replacing it with another. The end result is no change.

No offense dude, but you found stuff ridiculous in the Fantasyland expansion too when people expressed their opinions...and again, HTF is giving out FACTS not RUMORS and in the name of website traffic, where this information comes out is very important.

True. I was just thinking of more people being in IoA compared to Studios, but I guess by the time Phase II opens then people will be in both parks.

My personal thought when it comes with the train, it will be 4 lengths long....2 trains are rumored to on this...2 cars in each train are single park tickets, 2 cars are dual park tickets...the ones that unload at each side will unload, while the others stay on board for the trip back..plain and simple.

A theory on Hogwarts Express (hope this hasn't been discussed yet):

What if the trains are divided into different sections? Let's say that the train has six separate cars. What if the front three cars are for "one-way" passengers and the back three cars are for "round-trip" passengers? The conductor says "Ticket please", then checks the guest's park ticket. 1-Park-per-day guests are corralled in the "round-trip" area, everyone else has the option (most likely "one-way" though). Once at the other station, only the one-way cars are unloaded and reloaded.

EDIT: Oops, Vyrus said the same thing a few posts above, lol.

Anyway, I have never really heard of either park hitting capacity before, but if that happens when 2.0 opens, I would assume that all trains would be round trip from IOA or one way out of the Studios to encourage balance.

EDIT: Wow, two people beat me to posts on two separate things. I like your taste in movie Hockeyman,
