Nice update. While it's taking forever, this is going to be a very nice addition to the park.

Dang Bob, i would have loved to tag team some updates with you. My days off always fall during the week it seems though. Thanks for the update, bumping through people to take "boring" construction photos isn't the funnest thing to most. We are a different breed though.

^ It does take a very dedicated people to aquire these updates. Many of you do not realize the time, money and dedication it takes to keep a top notch site like OU at the forefront. Updates are not just about taking a few shots while enjoying yourself at the parks. I know that many of us will take upwards of 500 shots to get the ones we feel we need. I personally have waited over two hours to aquire that perfect construction shot.

I would like to thank all members for making this site what it is today.

Thanks

My quick "walk by and hope nobody sees me" pictures never turn out well enough to post, but man that is some dedication to this. Thanks for all your hard work!

Thanks HTF for that diagram. Based on that and other artwork/video I've seen, it looks like the cars tilt/rock pretty heavily on their sides. Maybe it's been discussed, but is the "rocking" of the cars being controlled, or is it on a free-tilting axis? Either way, I wonder about weight distribution. Will the larger individuals have a designated side to sit on, while kids sit on the other side of the car, similar to the Himalayan or Alpine Bobs at the fair? Or maybe the seats in the cars will perhaps be divided? A third idea is that I'm overthinking this, and it won't matter who sits where because the cars rocking/tilting won't be that extreme. Regardless, I expect this ride to be a lot of fun.

It's free rotating, and this has caused them LOTS of issues, for the exact reasons why you said.

If the cars are really free-rotating, then weight distribution will be a problem. And because this system tilts back and forth both ways, and the ride track isn't just one big circle, it's hard to designate who should sit where. Similar to that picture, you're gonna have a lot of squashed kids! The only thing I can think of is having a divider in each car, essentially giving each car two seats.

They could throw some kind of gyro stabilization on it; give a little extra "oompf" or slow the swing down where necessary due to weight distribution.

I do see a divider being put in, to prevent from crushed kids and everyone having a more enjoyable ride. I also see where they limit the movement to prevent too many problems. But they may need more than that and because of that they need to get their butts moving on this thing to start testing the track layout with the movement with different weighted dummies.

Have you looked around the MK? There is a reason why most of the Disney Demo considers Be Our Guest to be the best "attraction" in The New Fantasyland.

I was out at Nassal Co. and took some pics of what I believe to be the rest of the steel frame work for the 7DMT. I will post them later. It is nothing interesting, just random wire mesh and a few with that yellow stuff on them.

Here they are:

I'm thinking some of that rock work is heading to the vaults of Gringotts.
