Same. The rumored plans don't make me hopeful on that one though. It sounds like replacements more than additions.

The replacements will be improvements, no doubt. But still only replacements.

I think it will ultimately end up being more like an addition than replacement. While the shows are a big part of the park, many skip them, so adding rides and more themed ares to the park is a much better use of park space than what is currently there imo.

I honestly see Disney taking a page out of Universal's book for this one similar to the Springfield Expansion. Counter service, bar, meet and greets, and maybe a flat ride. Even incredibly themed, I can't imagine that costing that much. Of course the difference is that Disney will announce it and hype the living force out of it.

..And the Disney fanboys will praise it as better than Potter Phase 1 and 2 combined

Here is what I would do.

Phase One: Mos Eisley Spaceport

Retheme the entire area from Indy through the Sounds Dangerous theater to the Mos Eisley Spaceport. Where Indy is would be the hanger where the Millennium Falcon Walk-thru/Meet and Greet would be. The Cantina where Backlot Express is. Jedi Training Academy where Sounds Dangerous used to be. And of course retheme the entrance/showbuilding of Star Tours.

Phase Two: The Second Moon of Endor. Take out everything from Star Tours to PIXAR Place (Muppets, Mama Melrose's, Pizza Planet, Streets of New York, Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground, Whatever that Counter Service back there is called) and theme it to the Forest Moon of Endor with a Speederbike Coaster, Fully themed Ewok Village, a primitive looking flat ride, and food and beverage options.

And the best part, redo Star Tours to where the entrance is in the Mos Eisley Spaceport. And you get off on the Moon of Endor. And if they really wanted to get fancy, they could have half the cabins going from Tatooine to the Moon of Endor and the other half going from the Moon of Endor to Tatooine.

An absolutely brilliant idea! Star Wars really has so many ideas to work with, that they could easily have their own theme park.

Think they would build a Pod Racer themed coaster for a Star Wars land even with a Pod Racer scene in ST 2.0?

Nope, but a speeder bike coaster, using the Tron coaster ride system rumored for Shanghai? Yes. I see that.

If they decided to go the Pod racing route (which I don't think they will), it would be very easy to take out the Pod Racing scene from ST2.0, so it wouldn't be a problem really.

I would rather have additions rather taking other attractions away. I really like the Muppet 3d show.

Coming into the thread a little late but are they really rumored to be taking Muppets away?

My dream scenario is get rid of muppets, build SWL then re-theme the great movie ride with the muppets (like planned in the past)

Might not be popular, but I'd love it haha

I honestly would really love to see The Great Movie Ride redone with new movies!

New movies and new ride system would be awesome. There is quite the amount of space in that attraction :) Leave the facade alone though!

What are some classic movies that could be in the ride?

As much as I love Wreck-It Ralph, I don't see how that movie would work for the ride. If we ever see Wreck-It Ralph at the theme parks, it would almost have to be a stand-alone attraction.
