I know how that goes  But I will still be using cash, I want more control of my spending and being able to charge with those bands will do exactly what Disney wants them to and cause me to lose track of how much im spending. I hardly use my bank cards at the parks as it is now for that same reason.

Hopefully it will be easier to get into the parks, but heard some have hit some snags while using the bands at the gate. It will make it easier to get in with the kids and strollers once its ironed out.

Yes, right now they are having entry access issues. Mainly due to the passes not being linked to the correct bands. A family of four goes in and one person has all passes instead of one pass per band.

I never use cash, in fact I never have cash on me. So really the band is the same method of payment I use today, which is credit card. The way I budget the credit card is much better because I get a breakdown that I bring into excel and classify out to the various categories I have setup. I also get 1.5% cash back and I will never pass up free money. So unless it is a cash only place, I am using a credit card, even for that $0.99 water from a gas station :) If it is cash only, I normally don't go. Unless it is really worth it my husband will take money out of his bank account. I don't even carry around my debit card, so I would have no way of even getting cash in most cases unless my husband is with me. Which is why I don't think it will increase or decrease my spending.

Im curious to see how those same reviews pan out once things are fully implemented and you get the tourist who have no clue what is going on try to get FP+ last second only to find nothing available. If you do your homework and plan ahead with this it could take some of the stress away on a few things, like having to run to TSM or Soarin in the AM to grab a fast pass.

Honestly some people don't get fast passes today because they have no clue what they are. Some think you have to pay for them and think it is unfair. I have heard complaints like this. So no system is tourist proof and therefore you have to not consider the idiots when calculating how this is going to pan out.

When it comes to any type of card, debit, credit, I lack the same organizational dedication you have when it comes to spending while on a vacation

Oh trust me, I go over budget most months, vacation or no vacation. But I also have a dream budget that unless we only go out once a week, we will never hit. When we are dieting we tend to stay "on" budget. Luckily we have wiggle room in our budget and unfortunately we both know it

I have often said since moving down here, people leave their brains on the plane and pick them back up on the plane going home

So I went to FLE

My wife,my 16 yr old daughter and myself spent 6 hours walking around on two separate days we really like the attention to detail .

1:We all thought The Little Mermaid was worth the wait , Yes it is the same ride as Nemo but different in a good way much more going on and interesting.
C TICKET for everyone

2:Story time with Belle is worth the wait the first time and only if there is a 30 min or less after that.
D TICKET for the cool factor the first time and ALWAYS for those younger than 10 / C TICKET later on after 3-4 times.

3:Seven Dwarfs is a eyesore in the middle of the FLE with its walls all the way around and I believe it will remain one once it is finished because it looks totally out of place!

4:Wife and Kid both liked Le fro's brew Me nope not at all - We shared one glass and wife and daughter both refused to finished it LOL!!We all will drink multiple glasses of butter beer
Gaston's tavern is to small but We all liked it

5:Be Our Guest = good expensive food - wonderfully cool atmosphere - just OK service - and WHY THE HELL do I have to stand outside on the hot ast in the sun cooking F'n bridge to wait to get in /POOR planning
Eat in the main ballroom, the rose room is dark and the music box room in boring.

6:The area between FLE and Pinocchio's where Dumbo use to be looks so empty and like something is missing and the entry archway is in the middle of no where

7:Loved the 10 million dollar Tangled restroom the theming is cool but the IP could have been better put to use. We did used it as many times as we could trying to help out Disney justify that embarrassing expense for a restroom.
D TICKET LOO

^Thanks for the review. I too had a very positive experience in New Fantasyland. However it seems we are the few. Many members on these boards love bashing Disney every chance they get. While they're not what they used to be, Disney is still the theme park king.

Disney just makes it too easy to "bash" them  There might be some who are more partial to Universal byt it doesnt mean Universal is the golden child on these boards. Look at all the heat it caused on here during the whole Bob photo situation, there was a lot of disgruntled members on here being vocal about it.

I see a lot of positive reviews of New Fantasyland. I haven't been yet, but it looks beautifully themed.

I think most people's gripes lately center around the fact that it is just taking so (unnecessarily?) loooooooooong to complete construction - especially compared to the pace of recent Universal construction.

This was said before and after opening of the new area, its very pretty, will bring them more revenue, added a lot more space and capacity for the park, but it lacks a lot of substance.

Considering I've spent more than $5K at both Disney Resorts in the past 2 years I have EVERY single right to bash them. I will continue to bash them! And then bash them some more until they get off there ass!

I don't remember anyone who's actually gone "bashing" NFL. Those are the folks that feel the need to pop in and make the millionth 7DMT joke. Members that have actually gone have given pretty fair and balanced reviews. It's certainly far from perfect, but it's not all bad either.

the funny thing is that there is acutually some progress at the mine ride, but very few people on this board are concerned with updating this thread with anything but Disney hazing. Sure it's a slow progress, but if you want to find updates they are out there.

There have been some updates on here but seem to be a little further spread apart compared to the Uni updates. Part of that is because of how slow they are moving
