Universal forums are the only place were people collectively and extremly complain about Disney food. If you want to complain about Disney food, complain about the price. $12 for a burger is highway robery.

Finally got to check out Springfield this past week. Such a great addition to what was a completely dead area. Everything that we tried was awesome.

Definitely prefer Duff Lite over the standard. Didn't try Dry as I'm not a big fan of Guinness. The Lard Lad Donut... good lawd. Amazing. Krusty Burger? Delicious.

I really liked the Chicken & Waffles. I definitely agree that fresh waffles would be better, but I was pretty satisfied. The chicken was really good the night I had it. I just wish you could get curly fries from Krusty Burger with it instead of the tater tots.

I think often times we forget that taste isn't the only concern. Cost effectiveness, ease of storage, and ability to dispense food rapidly and efficiently also have to be taken into concern. Imagine the logistical nightmare of having to serve fresh waffles to thousands of people in a two to three hour window.

Finally had the doughnut sundae last night while waiting for the last Bill & Ted show with Felipe, and wow was it delicious! A major sugar overload, but it was sooooo good, and definitely worth trying. I'll probably be chowing down on many more of them.

Emeril's Orlando is a fine lunch. If that isn't good enough, for dinner I suggest Emeril's Tchoup Chop, BiCE, or The Palm. If you are still not impressed, go back to Pixie Dust World for what ever they are serving up down there. I'm sure that **** on a shingle served on a Mickey Mouse plastic plate will blow you away.

You can - just ask. I've had the chicken & waffle sandwich three times and gotten curly fries on every occasion.

This is a little off topic but I thought I would just mention this, so sorry. I've always noticed Universal's cast members are pretty terrible at knowing what's going on in the park. I've had NUMEROUS people tell me tons of false information. Including last night when I asked 3 people(just to make sure) what time HHN closed last night and they all told me 2 am. So what happened? They closed at 12. It pretty much ruined me and my girlfriends night because we made our plans thinking we had until 2. This kind of stuff has happened over and over again in the past year with me and Universal. Now I'm not trying to trash Universal or anything because I love that place just as much as anybody, and will continue to. But they really need to step their **** up with the Customer Service. They continue to disappoint me with it these days.

Team Members are generally given a sheet of information each day, which includes scheduled ride closures, nearest First Aid stations, where certain foods/sundries are sold, and even fun facts of the day...AND park operating hours. Maybe this isn't done for HHN but it's entirely possible that there was a misprint or just miscommunication. Were the TM's you spoke to in the same general area? Regardless, the operating hours are posted on all maps and signage at the entrance. I understand your frustration but a less than stellar experience on one night is hardly a sign of deteriorating customer service. In fact, I'd go so far as to say they're the nicest and most helpful/guest-conscious theme park employees in Orlando.

It sucks that you ruined your last night and I'd be mad too. But I don't think it's fair to make such a generalization as to say all "cast members are pretty terrible at knowing what's going on in the park."

This kind of stuff has been happening to me for a year now. Whether it be rude people that work there, employees always having incorrect information or having no idea at all, and Customer Service on the phones and in person that dont go far enough to make sure the customer is satisfied. I love that place I just really wish the Customer Service was way better.

Yes, ive had a few bad experiences with some team members not knowing the correct information. A example of this is last night someone asked the TM outside of ROTM what time the final B&T was at. The TM responded it was at 11. My friend kindly corrected her that it was at 11:15, the TMs response was quite rude she replied "Was he talking to you?" Ive also have run into TMs who dont know the history of the parks, but that really isnt a problem.

To be fair, I would be kind of annoyed if you asked me a question only to tell me the answer. If your friend knew it was at 11:15 why do you ask?
In any case, if the show started at 11:15 I would say it starts at 11 as well. It's easier to just tell people it's at 11 than to say "it starts at 11:15 but it's recommended you get there early." Her response was unwarranted, yes, but HHN is a different atmosphere...you also could've misread her tone.

I'm surprised at these reactions towards UOR TM's. They've usually been fantastic in my experiences.

the way it sounds is that they were not the ones asking the question, it was a random person? and the friend just said the right answer?

Nah, where I live, that's cheap. A halfway decent burger in my area is $20. Then again, I live in freaking middle-of-nowhere Alaska! At the prices I'm used to ($11 gallon of milk, $7 gallon of gas, $5 loaf of bread), I found the prices at Springfield and throughout the park to be more than plenty reasonable. And that D'ohnut Sundae…WOW. :doggie:

So what's everyone's favorite Springfield food so far? Tacos are #1 followed by the Krusty Burger.

We have eaten at three of the four save the Palm many times, all are truly outstanding restaurants Tchoup Chop being our favorite but to make a statement like "**** on a shingle served on a Mickey Mouse plastic plate " is just a little hatin. There are some really fine restaurants in Disney, Artist Point, Shula's Steak House, Todd English's bluezoo (we didn't like it?), Jiko, Citrico's, California Grill and on a good day Flying Fish and Narcoossee's with Victoria and Albert's maybe a step above them all.

Yes we (wife, daughter and myself) will always long for the fine dining experience's before the invention of the free dining plan which ruined fine dining in Disney as well as gone and long gone restaurants like Bistro de Paris and the Empress Lily :-(

I agree. There should be a name for the opposite of pixie dust snorters, or pixie dusters, or whatever they're called. Never seen such strong feelings against theme parks (Disney and Universal) until being introduced to the world of theme park boards...kind of ironic. I don't get why people waste so much energy on hating what's admittedly a pretty cool thing

I would have no problems paying $12 for a halfway decent burger from Disney, the problem is they are no where close to decent. But nope you pay $12 for some green stuff they say is beef on a crusted bun, basically just paid for the privileged to through this disgusting thing away. That does not include any sides or drinks.

Also remember Disney is not in Alaska. It is in Florida where you can get a damn good sit-down restaurant burger for less than $12, but nope they charge you even more and give you less quality food than the cheapest fast food around. :pound:
