Universal Creative (though possibly only the Hollywood branch) traveled to Melbourne Australia late last year to visit the Creature Technology Company and view their work for Jurassic World the Exhibition. They were very pleased and excited by what they saw - but I'm not sure what this means now, or in the long run..

I am not aware of a Hollywood division of UC, and I am quite aware of things. :) I would assume they were there to protect the live entertainment products of the franchise. Much like WB/Gilmore for Potter.

Ok thanks for the info about the lack of a separate Hollywood division - I'm not super familiar with the park side of things.

I can say this for near certain: they aren't the ones overseeing & approving JWTE for Universal. Universal Pictures & Amblin have very separate teams on that.

Sorry, should have been more clear: Jurassic World The Exhibition (JWTE)

Jurassic World The Exhibition.

UC would mean parks division not Universal Pictures, I should think.

Reskinning AA's would be handled by the skin shop on property. New puppets at Raptor Encounter would be Art and Design not UC.

Hmmm...

It's possible that they're considering housing an altered version of the Exhibition permanently at the park(s) after the 5 year(!) traveling show is finished.

From my understanding it's a mix of a traveling museum/movie exhibition and a stage show. Some bits could even be considered a walk through dark ride in some ways.

I wonder, does this relate to Kong, or Jurassic Park?

The company is making inroads in a new direction, however, with its first entry into the American theme park industry set to be announced in coming months. Details are strictly under wraps but the offer comes from Universal Pictures – owners of the Jurassic Park franchise, for what that's worth. Perhaps this isn't the last time CTC will be grappling with their T-Rex.

Its been highly rumored that Creature Technology would handle the AA's for Skull Island; so i'd assume its more on that angle than Jurassic Park.

Jurassic World the Exhibition officially opens tomorrow, and a bunch of previews are out now. The Indominus Rex looks AMAZING

I wonder what the chances are of this going to the parks after the tour is finished.. Also, it apparently had been in the works for 2+ years.. I can't help but wonder if this was adapted from one of the previously planned park expansions.

Wow, those dinosaurs looked amazing. Wish we had more stuff like that in the parks.

Anyone else see that instagram video of USJ Jurassic Park with an AA Spino behind an electric fence. That would be cool to have on the side here to touch up Jurassic Park

Edit: That Creature Technology Indominus would be perfect

That Indominus from The Exhibition is terrifying. I wonder if there would ever be a way to incorporate something like that into an "Alien Encounter"-style show. It theoretically wouldn't take up a lot of space, but it would probably be a really cool attraction to further round out JP's offerings.

And that Spinosaurus AA is neat, too. I wish there were little vignettes/paddocks like that peppered all throughout IOA's JP. The island as a whole just needs more dinosaurs, I think.

Allegedly there's thoughts of doing these kinds of paddocks in the rest of the Trike Encounter area.

Don't quote me on that because honestly I don't remember where/when I heard it, and I'm totally not confident it's anything more than hearsay
