Keep in mind it may be longer then 6 minutes since there was a noticable edit/jump at one point. (Scientist notices something wrong, has to leave and puts the video on standby. Then the YT video jumps to him back on screen and already talking.)

Full ride Through pulled from YouTube. Now a "highlights" video is up. You think it was copyright music from ride or Disney not wanting full ride through up?

I would assume that they wouldn't want the full video up yet

And curious...

Did ALL of the bloggers fit in the Flight of Passage seats...? Inquiring minds want to know.

From my understanding there were a couple that did not fit.... if you are over 6 foot 2 and/or husky, you will have problems in these ride vehicles on FOP. If anyone has any doubts at all on fitting in the restraints, I urge you to ask to try the test seat

Husky? I define that at 250+#, maybe this will be the defining factor to lower the lines?

Could this be the first humanoid AA to make it past the uncanny valley??? If this looked more like a person, then I think I would fall for it being real if it wasn't for the size.

If that's true then i might not fit - though i definitely fit on FJ, even in the little seats. So it's probably a bit broader. Biggest issue i've had on FJ was my arms getting stuck.

I said it earlier, but just look at how impressive the finger movements are at around 0:18 of that video. Seriously good work by Disney here.

I agree with this.

I don't know why, but it looks so lifelike and yet, not in a bad way. I don't know if that means I like the Uncanny aspect, or that I think it's realistic, but it's certainly an achievement to hold.

I only watched the first 5 seconds of that video before turning it off (like Kong, I want the figure to have an impact when I'm actually on the ride), but that AA looks incredibly impressive. Being the only AA in the ride, they had to knock it out of the park, and it appears they've done that.

Sorry but I have to

Kong AA < Navi AA

I don't even care if it breaks tomorrow. This is innovation.

I agree. If simply because it does more.

With innovation comes future challenges sense it hasn't never been done before. I don't think this will become a future disco yeti, it's much simpler to change out.

That's a good baseline...I'd say if you wear over a 2XL shirt or have large calves or legs you'll want to check the test chair

The thing that really wets my personal whistle, is imagining those advancements being incorporated into JPRA or some other Jurassic Park themed attraction. I do so very hope we get to see that happen at some point in the future.

I know what an AA is... intimately. He has several show profiles that he performs. As I said, he is controlled by a show system independent of the movement/buoyancy effects of the water

Which wasn't what you said before.

I said that he was controlled independently of the water of the tank, meaning he is controlled by a show system

The floating Navi seems not to be an AA but a water buoyant neutral figure with a system (pneumatics/hydraulics/servos) to articulate the arms and legs. So still an animated figure, but still a great effect.

Troll comment: there are still more AAs on Kong than in this whole land.

I'm think I'm still in the uncanny valley on this although I can appreciate how impressive it is though. I don't know if I'm feeling slightly repulsed because it looks so real and I'm slightly freaked out by this freakishly large blue woman singing and dancing or that I know it's fake.

Though I despise the term Potter-Swatter, it's good to see that Disney is finally willing to step up their game; bring on Nintendo and Star Wars Land, please!

I'm 6'2" 260 and I wear an XL. While not small, I'm am not an above average height person. The only ride that I've ever had a problem getting on was a drop tower ride with OTSR's. It was a squeeze, but I got it locked. If the 6'2" quoted earlier is a legit baseline(and I realize you aren't quoting exact specs) it's going to exclude a lot of guys.
