I'm thinking of it more this way: Let's say Uni wants Park 3 to be open by the summer of 2022. They would have to start building no later than sometime in 2018. But by then, they'd be building the DC replacement, the FFL replacement, the T2 replacement, and the Shrek replacement. If SNW was still in USF, that'd be three whole extra rides as well as a multi-level themed land on top of that. That'd simply be too much across different locations at one time. So adding SNW into the Park 3 plans could be their way of preventing themselves from spreading resources dry; it'd be a ton going on at once, but it'd be more comparable to back when Volcano Bay, Kong, Fallon, F&F, the CB towers, and Sapphires were being built at the same time.

Honestly, like I keep saying. I'm more than willing to wait if it means SNW will be the best version it could possibly be here in Florida.

Y'know, perhaps we could divert attention of the multiple projects in general to the USF Project thread? It'd be better off talking about this there than here.

Alternative Theory is its not Universals choice but influenced by Nintendo,

Nintendo tells them to hold off so they can get quality labor so there are less issues compared to Volcano Bay. I'm sure Nintendo Execs saw what happen with VB and what to be insured their associated product is made perfect from day one.

I'm sure that the Nintendo contract is just like the Potter contract where they have a say over quality control. I can't see them being the obstacle but Universal realizing they don't have the resources and putting on the brakes.

If it's the resources due to closing T2 and maybe shrek then they made a terrible decision.

Maybe just a time scheduling change (Nintendo) to accommodate a Universal D23 reaction (Universal fast track of Terminator & Shrek replacements)

T2 replacement was in the plans before D23.

Back to Nintendo.

Resources are also outside agencies who are working on lands for other parks as well...(Nassal, Oceaneering, etc). If those guys don't have enough people/time and subcontracting the work out, it won't get done well.

What if they looked at their lineup for the new park and just didn't feel it had enough of a draw? Yeah they have Dreamworks and FB and JW, but maybe they felt that it wasn't enough zing. Sure they have Pokemon, but maybe they were concerned that wasn't enough of an anchor. Maybe they felt Phase 2 Nintendo wasn't going to cut it and are saving the big dog Mario to make the new park a slam dunk.

Or maybe this rumor has nothing to it. Personally, I'm not even that into Nintendo, but I see that it has appeal. I think the Kidzone area is all it really needs ever(I'm not looking to debate that. It's just my opinion.) But, I don't get how these hyper Nintendo people are against it being the big draw for the new park.

I keep thinking on the off chance this IS the case, this is why. Mario is probably one of the single most iconic, all-ages, popular IPs Universal has ever gotten and it'd be a HUGE draw to a new resort; moreso than Fantastic Beasts, Jurassic, and most DreamWorks IPs can ever dream to be IMO. Even Pokemon, which is a huge property, doesn't have the all-ages all-encompassing appeal that Mario has.

But the thing is this SNW is opening in Japan and Hollywood for the most part. Keeping it in USO makes more sense and putting an Orlando exclusive Pokémon/Zelda expansion in the new park will bring more people in.

Pokemon and Zelda are not the draw Mario is. That's not even a discussion.

I'd be in favor of Pokémon talking over Kids Zone and Mario anchoring the new park.

Yeah. If a Pokémon expansion is Orlando exclusive to the new park there's no question regarding its potential draw. It'll bring people from around the world like Harry Potter did, especially from Japan.

People be dumb.

I am not interested in speculation about Nintendo being held for Site B.

We also have to consider challenges with construction labor in keeping up with overall demand in the region, especially if Irma creates widespread devastation.

Pretty sure Japan would get its own Pokemon expansion if Orlando did. The Japanese are not Orlando's market.

Agreed, I think if the Japanese were to go to US parks it would be the Cali Parks.
