Haha, First scene after load. Before the drop into the swamp. Or so I've heard.

As long as they actually take the photos for guests to pickup, that will be a win. ;)

Maybe, they build a castle in Far Far Away land and build Peach's castle in USF and they can claim to have a castle in every one of their parks unlike their neighbours down the road.

What if they went with something like this, but with a really big castle. Like, twice that size (399')? With not only a Blinky light on top, but a full on rotating lighthouse beacon.

For which park, USF or Gate IV?

If your insinuating that for Gate IV on Shrek...that would be impressive. And it would be a middle finger to Disney.

The parks "Main St." that leads to the (399') Fiona Castle is the medieval Hollywood Blvd. From Shrek 2. The first two stores are 2 Starbucks on each side of the street.

Troll level 11. And fits the Shrek IP perfectly.

That would do.

I’m assuming the swamp ride will be near the sewage treatment facility to explain the smell?

I like the sound of the boat ride. I wouldn't want so much of the park's real estate taken up by a SHREK theme, though.

To ask @Disneyhead, wouldn't it just be the first area of the park though; and that FFA is essentially UOR's Main Street (similar to how USH has Universal BLVD)?

Shanghai Disney's castle only took about 2.2 acres tho.

If Universal Orlando makes the park even larger than USF or IOA, I don't see how that may be a problem.

Real talk: Basing your park's icon on Shrek is a problem, which is why I doubt it'd happen

Pure ride immersion. Even the Disney You Tubers would have be jealous of that immersion level.

Basing your park's icon on a castle from Shrek that itself is a spoof of the famous castle down the road might be a problem.

Much rather see something from Middle Earth, Zelda, or HTTYD as the park's weenie.

While I would agree on Shrek not being as relevant in modern day, hasn't there been talk on a fifth film in the cards?

IMO, if they're doing hub and spoke, the centerpiece should be something original-slanted.

How well do you think another Shrek film is going to do?

IMO when people see your centerpiece they shouldn't say, "Oh no, more of that!?"

I think they have a weenie problem for the 4th park. Theres no slam dunk obvious choice. I mean a full sized Hogwarts would be the best choice if they didn't already have one in IOA. An actual full on, real fire, Eye of Sauron would be about as bad assed as you could get. But other than that, it all seems a little forced or inflating the importance of an IP.

I guess if you think about it though, they could just go the route of their current parks and just have no central weenie. But for some reason that feels like a little bit of a let down. :-/

IMO that's why they should go Original. Call it "Universal Mountain" or something, and have an E-ticket where you encounter Jaws, the Monsters, Kong, and the T-Rex or something. Make a thrill ride version of Great Movie Ride. It doesn't have to make sense. Just make it awesome

What are the chances that they come up with an original park icon?
