To interpret...Maybe one of the IPs that has been floating around is intended to be a SZ, not a house. But, it's NOT Lost Boys.

I really hope it is AHS. I think the last season makes a better scarezone. Could also see Romero or 80's slashers.

I need to rephrase this answer.

I don't know any of the scarezone themes. I haven't been asking.

The only logical one would be AHS Cult since HW is speculated to get it as a zone with Asylum in the maze. Either that or Romero

To your question, yes. There are limitations. There's actually always limitations, IP or not. The scareactors are playing characters. Whatever they say has to be in line with what that character says. It's also EXTREMELY difficult to talk behind a mask, so most won't bother.

To you first comment. My response to this statement:

I still wonder if they’ll use the new water show venue (currently under construction) for HHN. Maybe in lieu of a SZ. Movies on water screens, etc.

I would dig a “horror movie marathon” type deal but not replacing a SZ.

They did this in 2012 and it was pretty cool. One of the redeeming aspects of that year.

Before my first trip, but the buddy I go with each year was there in 2012 and still raves about it.

Very true. It could read, no vampire based house is happening.

Question for you @Legacy: is there a restriction on what actors can do or say in an IP scare zone? For the Purge zones there was really only ever the person with the microphone and the victims who talked much and for Trick ‘r Treat I only recall old man Kreeg being vocal. Is this something that is down to the actors or does it come from something in the contract for the IP?

In Hollywood, actors are forbidden from speaking - doesn't matter if you're in a mask or face. Doesn't matter if it's IP or original. After the Purge Auction incident, speaking was unilaterally banned from the event, and people have been fired over violating the new rule.

Lost BOys would be awesome. And then a Nightmare on Elm Street reenactment house like Halloween. Hopefully not like The Shining with a miniaturized boiler room scene.

An all 80s theme would be incredible.

PLUS, no one has mentioned it yet, but I can dream, you could have a Bill and Ted's adventure where they don't time travel, since they live in the 80s, and it's different than the one that ended. I know that's not happening, but it would be cool.

if they take out the scarezone by SF I hope they can at least have a roaming horde in that area.
I dont care if they take out the props and if there is no official scarezone, but streets at HHN should never be empty.

I hope there is at least actors dressed as cheerleaders or something, or pumpkins or the chainsaw drill team or something

In a way losing SF is good, the zones there were always way too overcrowded. Hopefully that doesn’t mean we’re losing a zone though

There are quite a few empty streets at HHN. Some examples are: the area around FFL, the lagoon bridge, and Shrek Alley.

Yeah, we live in LA and my friend worked the event, so I was well aware of their restriction

My curiosity sprung more from the fact that I feel like the actors in non-IP scare zones have been more interactive over the years. That being said, I am coming to realize that the vast majority of my examples are characters who were not wearing masks
