I will say this, I have heard at-least one or two people in some cases, like it. But that we also have to face the music that not everyone will have the same opinion as you or me.

Do I like Drupercharged? No. But I'm not going to put people down if they liked it, and that's coming from someone who rode the "less superior" version of the attraction.

If there was one thing I liked, when I was in the Hollywood version, it was the sense of wind that was precedent in the 360. The CO2 was a bit much, but the wind (and the fact that I was in the middle third car), made the experience more adequate and sometimes enjoyable. But that, I had issues with the writing, the characters, and the effects, even with the changes that the Hollywood version made shortly after opening.

I am going to reserve final judgement until I actually ride it. Opinions and
aholes, everybody has one.

I have seen people buying the merchandise in the gift shop. Has anyone heard how F&F merchandise sales are?

We bought some in march. Little gift crap. Gave it to people who will never do the ride.

I have been visiting IOA from opening and waited many times 30 to 60 minutes when it dueled (I loved that ride). After Potter and after they killed off potter I seen it (at very crowded days) at 5 to 10 minutes.

This is all very true and well stated with one big exception. An illogical and misguided demand for synergy at all costs from top executives at the film studio and Comcast can override everything you just wrote if they continue to be as stubborn as they've been. A good example is green-lighting another version of this albatross for China. Even if something is bad for the parks, they justify it as being "good" for the company as a whole which is dangerous when taken to an extreme.

I never new the executives of the film studio had so much power to enforce a ride. I also didn't know synergy was a bad thing (business school must be wrong). I also didn't know the people in power (whoever they are) are so incompetent and still have the parks make double digit growth and profit quarter after quarter while Disney and Sea World are struggling in the Orlando market. I hope they take note what you are saying or the end of Comcast is near.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not excited for F&F as I also wasn't excited for Transformer although that one has big lines (I still don't care for it). The same goes for Minions, I think it's an underused ip and don't like the ride but it's very popular. Volcano bay got the worst ratings on travel sites when it opened because the back of the volcano was open, things weren't finished and the tapu-tapu system was terrible. Still it's a very well visited water park and enjoyed by a ton of people. Lets wait a year to judge if the ride is a success or not.

I think part of it is how much more hidden it was and the entrance was also much more subdued than when it was Dueling Dragons....a lot less exciting looking.

Bad example. Movies are rarely valued because of critical acclaim by studios, unless that acclaim leads to butts in seats. In the case of Pluto Nash, the studio cared that not enough people saw it. Executives were fired not because it was BAD, but because it lost so much money. There have been spectacular movies that were less successful.

It appears that Howard the Duck was an unintentional comedy, but honestly, it looks really cool. Like a B-movie :)

It should be considered a corporate liability, because of the extremely bad reviews.

True, the 2 dragons at the entrance where doing an impressive job being impressive. I would have bought them as garden gnomes if they hadn't trashed them. In the end this was not a ride the general Potter head was excited for.

Disaster was so much fun. The preshows were exciting and always entertaining, the show had the most perfect guest interaction, and the experience had one of the best payoffs with a granny being struck by lightning. Got laughs every time I rode it.

I decided to view the reviews for FF on the Universal Orlando site. It shocked me that about 20 "reviews" in a row were 5 stars. When I looked closer the reviews were from people who had yet to ride FF!! So underhanded. At the bottom were reviews from actual riders and all of them were 1 or 2 stars.

I'm curious to see how Universal responds to all the negative reviews....Its got to be more that "oh sorry you didn't like it, here is a link to our guest services page"..

Just hoping it's loud enough to show Universal our true pleasure of the trend they're heading now.

Feed the media free food & drink, and selectively invite the one's that give good reviews in return, and it's amazing what kind of results you can get. ;)

I rode it yesterday, and it lived up to the hype. This is an absolutely pathetic ride. The queue is pretty weak and not what I expected based on Universal's PR releases. Once I went into the first preshow, I knew something hilarious was in store. I don't know how much they're allowed to improvise, but the live actors in both preshows have cringeworthy dialogue that tries way too hard to be funny. As for the pre-recorded dialogue on screen, ohhhhh boy. I was trying really hard to contain my laughter  The dialogue in the films are NOWHERE near as bad as the ride. Once I boarded, I actually enjoyed the first scene (or two scenes depending how you view it) and thought maybe the rest of the ride won't be so bad. NOPE! The party scene is as bad as it looked in Hollywood, and the dubbed dialogue on the FBI agent gave the script's weakness a more profound effect. Finally, the 360 room is just baffling. Unlike Kong, there's no coherency with what's happening on screen, and the quality itself looks much worse than Kong too. The water effects really need to be toned down because I got a giant spray of water directly in my eye on the first spray! The fog effects are weird too; it's like they're loud for the sake of being loud. When the ride ended, I was in complete awe at the disaster I had just ridden. This is by far the worst ride (not attraction) on property.

Well I think it's more telling that he had more to say about the queue than the ride itself.
