Something substantial appears to be happening in that location I agree. Perhaps it is the long-lost shrieking shack... :_:

Honestly though, maybe will have some type of walls below the bridge part to completely block the view of later scenes from the earlier scenes? A big ol divider structure.

I think other coaster parts are going to be quite well hidden from one another and a bridge or a tunnel is a simple solution that adds a cheap thrill on top of it.

Seeing the non-banked turn following it, I’m guessing that’s just the slow down before the end. And maybe a place where trains sit if unload is backed up for whatever reason. Guessing it will be a covered bridge, to help block view of it from the earlier scenes below it.

The final brake section and second to last block is a very good guess

That's from Total Immersion, the TV Special they did about the making of IOA. You can find the whole thing on YouTube. Very much worth watching.

Huh, at about 1:30 in that video they say Ripsaw Falls is part rollercoaster. There we go, coaster enthusiasts, problem solved; IOA actually has enough rollercoasters! :tease:

I mean, to be fair if people count Atlantis as a coaster I don't see why ripsaw isn't one.

Notice the new foundations on either side of the track leading to the round. More and more stuff to wonder about.

What's interesting is that this has foundations either side of the track but the reverse drop track doesn't and we know that's going to be enclosed and it's close proximity to the track beside it:

^ Also note that apparently the track switch has been installed in that picture and is covered in white fabric. Too, note the section of track near top that has been wrapped in black fabric. It’s all so mysterious and fun!

I'm gonna guess anything like that will be a bridge-type thing - cause I don't think it will be enclosed.

Going to throw this out: What if that last launched section and the backwards portion are both enclosed in the same building?

I'm almost wondering that too, with the Cave, final launch, and Drop Track buildings all connected.

Just a thought, but I hope that's the case.

Taron, Steel Vengeance, Forbidden Journey, and the future Nintendo attractions all would like to have a word with you.

Yeah.

Universal is taking a direction that I think is honestly an amazing sight, something that can be on the level of some of the more Modern Disney coasters (pre Slinky).

If it reaches the levels of what BGM did for Hong Kong as a coaster, but with the Potter branding, this will be a must-see attraction for a lot of audiences.

I would NEVER put Forbidden Journey and MK in that area, as they aren't coasters.

This will be the thunder mountain/space mountain of the park. A classic. Universal usually doesn't have the freedom to create attractions that cover a lot of space so this makes me happy.

I heard from a friend that they decided to scrap the holding brake idea, so I had another look at the track on the spike.

There's definitely no mounting points for brakes on there, so unless they use some other system to hold the train, it looks like there will be no hold.
