Man, getting this and the Potter coaster in the same year (hopefully). Gotta be the best 1-2 punch from Universal and Disney ever, no?

Throw in everything else coming after it, and we are seriously in a golden age of theme parks. What a time.

It might be a 1-2-3 punch with MMRR opening around the same time. What a year!

And that’s not even mentioning Runaway Railway, which would be a solid headliner in its own right in any normal year.

Don't get me wrong, I like AAs, I just don't need them for an attraction to be great.

It's gonna have to do some heavy lifting to beat Spider-Man and Forbidden Journey for me, but I think it'll easily be Disney's best in town.

If the sole reason you enjoy those so much is because of the constant jostling around, you won't find that in this attraction. This attraction will be thrilling in other ways. There will be thrills, of course, just not a constant supply. In terms of the show sets and the effects, there are no words. It will be something else.

If you really enjoy motion, Big Bird will be your fave.

Which is a reasonably low bar, as they've not pushed any limits for decades.

To me, it sounds like a very different preshow idea. Of course it's a preshow, so it's not going to be THAT amazing.

The ride description, along with the video snippets, lead me one to believe it consists of a load area with tons of Stormtroopers that aren't attacking you, some dark ride rooms with video projects, and perhaps some low end AA.

The main pieces seem to be the At-Ats that were known a long time ago, and most certainly don't move much. They may have unique laser firing effects. Then the two elevator-simulation scenes. And what sounds to be a couple of scenes with Kylo, at least one being a top level AA.

It seems to put the ridiculous "you'll get off and load ANOTHER ride vehicle at the end" rumors to rest.

If it really is just 6 scenes, were talking a sub 4 minute ride

As I stated earlier, there are many missing scenes in the description. The ride has 11 scenes (not counting queue scenes).

The ride is significantly longer than 4 minutes.

If the description is accurate, I'll be fascinated to see how they attempt to pull off...
Kylo Ren igniting his lightsaber.

I know how I'd do it, but it's probably the laziest, least-impressive way to do it.

To make it even more realistic and immersive, he struggles and constantly pounds on the stuck top cone to reset the blade, but it won't budge so he starts stabbing the lightsaber on the ground in hopes that it'll loosen up and budge in.

Here come the negative Nancy's to defend their throne. Based on the description i don't believe anything will be "low end".

It's very ambitious, but there is no reason to think Disney can't pull this off.

Also, I could see how the multiple vehicle rumor got started based on the details here.

You are "technically" transporting via three difference vehicles, the pre-show transport, the prison carrier/ride vehicle, and the escape pod. It could easily be be misunderstood if you were told in passing.

My guess, would revolve perhaps blending perhaps a pepper's ghost effect, to give the illusion that it's going as it is; but in reality, isn't even on.

I don't buy the lightsaber itself being physical, but if they do, then kudos.

Maybe the will do the Kylo Ren lightsaber thing with a combo of AA and projection mapping like Captain Jack in Shainghai.

They’re literally joking that Kylo Ren in the ride will have an old toy lightsaber that we’re impossible to collapse properly, and that doesn’t come off as a joke to you?
