So what is the chance that they reprint some of more popular merchandise designs from last year to translate to the 30th this year?
I wish they did more stand alone merch designs related to the Originals, mainly Tee's and hoodies.

What I would do to get my hands on a "The Bride of Frankenstein Lives" shirt.

I hope so, what I would do for that Beetlejuice mug. It looks cool and awkward to handle; I love it.

It’s currently on sale on eBay, so you don’t have to wait and see if it comes back

That makes sense. I only just heard that some of the closed restaurants are being used for break space as well. I suppose spreading team members out backstage for safety is smart.

Doctor Who is always speculated because the team are fans. It’s never actually been rumored.

I don’t think a Who house would ever happen in the current administration of the BBC. They’re notorious for “staying on their island” when it comes to picking licensors and making deals; all their T-shirts are made by British companies, all their toys, all their video games, etc.

This is the company that told Joe Hill, Stephen King’s son who had Neil Gaiman adjust his pitches, “we have never let an American write for Doctor Who, and if we did, we wouldn’t start with you.”

The HHN team can honestly just keep taking characters from the show and creating their own stories lol

The only guy who has a shot at taking the horror throne from his old man isn't good enough for Doctor Who?

Bentley Little is the only one I'd put over Hill right now.

The little bit of Joe Hill I’ve read, I haven’t been impressed by. To the point of active dislike. And I generally like Stephen King.

That said, I absolutely agree with BBC not wanting an American writer for Doctor Who. The so quintessentially British. Any American writer would struggle to accurately get the tone of it. I definitely think Joe Hill wouldn’t be right for it above all.

I might get laughed at but I genuinely think we could see The Weekend come to HHN in the future. Unlike Billie who is leaving her horror roots, the weekend is embracing them in the new album and there are some genuinely creepy music videos to go along with it as well as the popularity (they just performed in the Super Bowl) so the majority of people will at least recognize it from that

One of the reasons Eilish was going to be featured at the event was because she herself was a fan of HHN and had attended previously so I'm sure there was a mutual interest in creating an experience between her side and Universal. Does such a sentiment exist with The Weeknd?

I would also say one of the reasons behind involving Eilish was putting a strong surge towards getting her younger demographic into the event. Does The Weeknd provide a similar reward if he was featured? Maybe, but definitely not as strong.

It's a real shame Billie Eilish wasn't able to be featured at HHN because that was such a perfect storm for Universal. Tremendous popularity, a great demographic to bring in and unique visual styling should have all came together to be a great experience at the event. I think it's understated how rare of a storm this was so, while it's not out of the realm of possibility, I'd be surprised if such a pop star house coalesced so soon after the Eilish axe.

He’s better at writing endings to his novels than King is, but King’s short stories are indisputably better.

For what it’s worth Chibnall is a good example of a British director/scriptwriter not being able to capture what makes Doctor Who interesting. I don’t know that Hill would necessarily do worse.

The only horror author I can think of that would adapt well to HHN would be Grady Hendrix; imagine a HORRORSTOR house...

I think Hill is as good as his old man was ckrca 79-83 or so, and if he can avoid the demons his father didn't, could surpass him - maybe he won't give us a magnum opus like the Dark Tower series, but every other "next Stephen King" from Barker to Ketchum to even Little has failed to give me the goose King does, but Nos4a2 and Horns both came damned close.

Firestarter is my favorite of his; Nos4a2 is next on my list after I finish the new Brandon Sanderson book.

Check out The Fisherman by John Langan, it’s sort of Lovecraft by way of King.

The Fireman? It's on my list - I still kick myself for not buying one of the signed copies they had at the local bookstore before I left Maine.

I’m not sure about younger fans but if you wanna compare the 2 by followers

Billie has 5.4 million twitter followers
The weekend has 14.1 million followers

I just think if one was possible because of massive popularity so is others

The Fireman is the book that made me hate Joe Hill.

I think “Tender is the Flesh” and “The Only Good Indian” are better than anything I’ve read by King or Hill.
