It will still play it's role at HHN (if that still is a go). But further on I guess it will be destined to "that building that is empty". It's sad for the people who lost their job.

@Legacy said no shows in FFL this year for HHN.

I was not assuming a show but maybe a haunted house could be in that stadium or a place to prepare the scare actors or something.

This will just end up being a "U Rest" area or whatever they're calling it until the pandemic is over id say.

Maybe for a house or actors placement but no show for HHN this year.

My heart goes out to the employees

Can't help but feel like this isn't the end for this attraction. It always seems to come back.

It’ll probably come back seasonally if needed. Although, the way we're going now, if it would even be needed or not is very questionable.

“Oh you don’t want the VR ride in Epic Universe? Fine, we’ll put it where Fear Factor Live is and waste a USF expansion pad” sure is a moneky’s paw situation if I ever saw one...

The more I think about the possibility, the less I like it, for a whole variety of reasons.

I’d rather this in Epic and do something else for this plot, plus, adding another screen attraction in this park is just crazy to me lol

VR, no matter how good the graphics are, will always feel like a downgrade from any other ride system

VR isn't a ride system.

I will never financially recover from this

My point is, VR feels like a downgrade from anything else, especially from the same company that *just* blended AR, screens, sets, and moving figures in one ride

I see I'm on the other side of the debate again. I actually prefer the VR ride go here instead of Epic Universe.

I'd rather a new show in the exact same theatre we have now than a VR attraction. I've never heard of one in any park that has been as good as a practical or even "screenz" attraction. Plus with COVID, even with it starting to wind down, it just feels like a weird time to back the horse of "Strap this thing to your face" type experiences. At least with 3D glasses the vast majority of the time the glasses are only used once per day before being cleaned. You only have maybe 50 headsets at the very most. Cleaning procedure alone could make this thing as agonizingly slow as Poseidon in peak-pandemic.

But I also don't know exactly what their plan is. So I guess I'll have to cross my fingers and wait and see.

I wish they would chuck the VR idea. I realize it could be the best VR experience out there, but imo it feels like something you'd find on I-drive, Pigeon Forge, Niagra Falls and so on (not that there aren't great experiences and/or parks there, but there should be a difference)...Which does bring me to the idea if this isn't also a push from within WB and WW, I'm thinking of the VR experiences that have yet to debut at the NY HP store. VR is another type of screen, so wouldn't this go against the screen fatigue that the gp has been experiencing?

Same as Mario Kart, the strap part that touches your head is washed after every use. The VR part snaps on with magnets and doesn’t actually touch your face.
