The difference between the loop and the rest of the ride is very noticeable while riding.
Smooth wise? I honestly couldn't tell, the entire ride was smooth for me yesterday besides that one turn right after the 6th inversion which wasn't that bad.
To say that would imply that I don't have my eyes closed while riding.
What???
And that is why I love laptops.Sorry that the video is sideways.
What??? Anyway, I found this video & it shows how brighter the track is with the paint:

Universal Orlando says it has begun repainting the Incredible Hulk, the once-bright-green roller coaster that dominates the skyline in the resort's Islands of Adventure theme park.
The move follows a months-long fan campaign to pressure the resort into refurbishing the popular thrill ride. There's a 66-page thread on the Orlando United theme-park website's message boards titled "The Condition of the Hulk Thread" on which fans have been bemoaning a lack of upkeep on the attraction.
Universal, which called the paint job a "long-planned refinishing project," says the work will be done at night, ensuring the ride remains open. The resorts say the painting will be finished in a few months.
