Universal's Epic Universe Wish List & Speculation

So I was able to ride one of the very few spinning Mack coasters last week - Turbulence at Adventureland. This was surprisingly WAY more intense than the controlled spinning on Guardians. the profile looks to be more intense then Werewolf based on layout, but with the uncontrolled spinning I...

    Disney's Animal Kingdom (General Discussion)

I was lucky enough to do one of the private reseveres in Kruger National Park, maybe 8-9 years ago. We stayed for 3-4 nights and do two drives a day. While technically you could say both Kruger and AK are safaris, it was night and day different. Hands down the best vacation experience I have...

    Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

I just think of how many families of 4 are already paying $10-$12k+ to stay at a deluxe for a week with meals and park tickets. if that is in your budget, you could instead stay 5 nights moderate, add on starcruiser, and be spending the same.Thousands of families sell out those deluxes every day...

    Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

5 years seems like a long time, but that is “only” 350,000 people experiencing this. I thought I read somewhere around 20 million visit Disney each year. I think the reason this will likely succeed is because they kept it so small. Crazy profit in those 5 years, shut it down for a year to...

Damn, if that is the theme for the central hub I love it.

    Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

The math on this one is crazy, but I think it works. 100 rooms holds roughly 300 people per trip. That trip will average $5500.They can do roughly 175 trips a year. That means they only need to find 17,000 families / 50,000 people in the world who are interested each year. And the would clear...

Halloween Horror Nights 30 (UOR) - Speculation & Rumors (2021)

this combined with @Legacy Simpson’s gif the other day leads me to guess Fear Street. The gif is from treehouse of horrors, which was a 3 part episode (an no monkey paw movies on that list) and fear street in 3parts? Shot in the dark, since I haven’t watched it yet.

(Rumor) New Potter Attraction to Replace Fear Factor Live?

So ride time in sub 4 minutes? We did the Void last time, and I know that is apples to oranges (upcharge, no park admission needed) but our biggest complaint was how short it was. Coming off negative here, which I know sucks.I am a big HP and Universal fan, we made specific trips after the...

(Rumor) New Potter Attraction to Replace Fear Factor Live?

Given these stats, it has to have terrible capacity. I will be generous and say they can get a new group on every ~8 minutes (4-5 min experience, 1-2 to both load and unload). That shows capacity at under 1,000pp an hour. Building a low capacity ride - bad. Building a screen based ride in a...

    E.T. Adventure General Discussion

Everyone always wonders why we just stand in the queue listening to his spiel (or staring in the dark till he starts the next round). we even finally got enough of the vintage ET hats they used to sell (years of eBay watching) to all ride them on our next visit.

oh no, how long has he been missing? As you can tell by the avatar it is my favorite ride, and we’re planning a first trip later this year to bring my son.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure (Opening Summer 2024)

For the couple of comments on this being out of theme with the theme of Frontierland, Song of the South was set in Georgia, while Princess is set in Louisiana. If anything, this is taking 2-3 states closer to the "old west", so should be celebrated as more accurate to the land.

    MIB: Alien Attack Revamp?

I had this same exact thought the other night, matches your post perfectly. There are 4 attractions that I truly love and enjoy every time - Mummy, MIB, ET and Horror makeup. Plus I could spend hours in Diagon as an area. There are 3 Attractions I enjoy to a degree, but once per trip is fine...

The Old HHN 30 Speculation Thread (2020)

Mostly lurker here, seeing if I can get this one based on the last clue: Platypus voices by Dee Bradley Baker Who also voiced characters in Family Guy One of which just happened to be a GREMLIN??????

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (DHS)

Exactly. Its a no win, people are going to show up prior to park open. In any scenario, the first ~10,000 people will likely get a boarding pass, the rest won't. If all those people showed up at 6am and were forced to wait outside until 9am open, and you show up at 9am, they are still going to...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (DHS)

It’s a no win for Disney. If they announce a 6am open in advance, then people will line up at 4-5am instead. At some point, they need to open to get people safely out of every building crowds at the entrance. Magic Kingdom opens every day prior to the “official opening” to get people into the...

Random Thoughts Regarding Express Pass, the Universal App, and More

With 2+ people in a room it is normally cheaper to stay on site and get the Express pass benefit than buying it separately. you can easily check rates for your stay vs express pass on universals website though, takes the guessing out of it.

    E.T. Adventure General Discussion

Two questions, as I got to ride this again last week for the first time in 5 years: - When did they bring back the interplanetary passports to have ours names recorded? That was missing on multiple trips in the past, figured it was a goner. - We watched the Botanicus animatronic (queue avatar...
