Shrek now has an automated spiel, so team members no longer have to go on the mic. Unfortunately the new spiel isn't themed, which sucks.

I agree the whole "plot change" argument is moot, as the attraction never fully made sense. It was never explained how Gingy got from the dungeon/torture chamber to decorating his house in the forest, but it happens. Same goes for Pinocchio and the three pigs.

There is sound in the queue. It now sounds like an actual swamp/forrest, with cricket and bug noises. There is still some music left from the movie in the queue (Welcome to Duloc, for example) and other ambiance sounds. It's not silent at all. I'm relieved the music is gone, it's better now.
