I don’t understand the people who say you can’t do the event in one night.
We went 3 nights, and did 44 or 45 runs. I think we did 15, 16, and 13 or 14. One night was even sold out and one night 4 houses were closed at once for flooding.
We did stay and scream and also had express but we...
I think like any house it depends on your run and how populated the house is. We had 8 ST runs, absolutely loved 7 of them. We had multiple great vecna scares every time. Our 1 so-so run we had almost no scares from anyone.
Only thing we didn’t like was the low volume of running up that hill...
Yes!
Not sure where but we saw hogwarts (forbidden journey store maybe?) Jurassic park gates (tribute store we think) and a dinosaur one we *think* but can’t recall where. Maybe the legacy store in citywalk?
We did this one maybe 8 times, loved it, and caught tons of good scares. We had one run in particular that was lacking, but the other two that night were fantastic. Probably our favorite house overall after deadliest deal but we rewatched season 4 right before coming.
Plenty of characters...
Definitely getting worse every year, and it seems like a crowd manipulation tactic. There’s no way that after decades of this event, and decades of line management, they still can’t calculate wait times accurately. They are doing it with popular rides like hagrid’s as well. Artificially high...
Nights: 3 (9/17, 9/20, 9/21 ROF with express plus stay and scream )
Houses: 44
time would have allowed 3-4 more houses total but our bodies couldn’t take it
Blood Moon: Dark Offerings - 4
Dr. Oddfellow’s Twisted Origins - 4
The Darkest Deal - 4
Yeti: Campground Kills - 6
Dueling Dragons...
Our first night was Sunday 9/17. We stay and screamed and also have rush of fear with express. We stayed til closing for the first time ever, and did 15 house runs for the first time ever. Skipped exorcist by choice, doubled up on deal, dragons, yeti, monsters, and did stranger things 3 times...
We either did a really smart early route or a really stupid one and ended up at depths of fear as like house 3 for the night, all alone as we did stay and scream. Solo walk through, and we had the stilt guy charge us, so of course we loved that house and always will.
The black phone was the only house that legit scared my daughter last year (not counting jump scares- I mean she couldn’t wait to get out and didn’t want to do it again. The only house we did only once in 3 visits).
We hadn’t even seen the film yet, but the grabber full on freaked her out.
I don’t think anyone in the prior couple pages is suggested that there is not a dedicated group of locked in customers.
I think the die hard fan base is the main segment clamoring for more fanfare and theater around the build up, and the impact on new attendees or casual fans would be minimal...
I think what most people lament as a lack of marketing is really driven more by a “lack of superfan engagement prior to the event.” Special websites, little videos, the serial postcards from …. dead exposure was it?
I feel like the majority of people who love and miss that stuff were planning...
