This is why it won't happen for a long time. It's going to be the most ridiculous ride if they base it on the current films.

Let's go back to the future in 2015.Coming 2019.

As much as I want to believe this, this is a day and age where websites just want views. Also this doesn't seem like to right time to do this and where would they put it?

Been there and done that. This property will never come back, we just have to accept it. Rebuild a ride that was in a park for 17 years? Highly doubt anything will ever come of it especially in a Universal Park. Maybe a different type of an attraction outside of UP&R.

Also, I haven't posted this yet. But if you're interested in what the film projection booth to the Back To The Future The Ride looked like, check out the video below. Although it was shot at Universal Studios Hollywood's BTTF, it's still applicable.

For those who own a HTC Vive or Oculus Rift, someone was able to get Back to The Future: The Ride fully in VR, and able to be watched with VR headsets, in a fascinating way.

There was only 1 scene it was used for in the film at the very end.

It’s not the train that pushed the Delorean up to 88mph, it’s Doc’s time travel train.

The end of the film after Marty returns to 1985 and takes Jennifer to see the remains of the Delorean and then Doc shows up on board the train with family in tow.

Thank you. I figured this was the scene. @Jwhee and I were discussing this the other day and assumed only this scene but we weren't sure.

Right with you on that one. Sorry for being the cause of that excitement. Probably would be better suited at this point as an appreciation thread.

in other news, how strange is this... I looked up the best Universal movies of all time and most articles played around with Back to the Future, Jaws, and JP. Seeing as though these are the top 3, you would assume that these are timeless IPs. If universal made a ride that felt just as timeless, I don’t understand why these rides can no longer exist in the park. (More specifically Jaws and BTTF) I feel like these movies will be introduced—or remade, for years and years to come.

Ive fantasized about a reinvigorated attraction for both IP’s making it into fantastic world’s but I know that is more than a stretch. Sad to see universal abandon two IPs that will probably be synonymous with the studio for the rest of time.
