I can't say I've ever seen the explosion effects or whatever that were supposed to happen in WDW. I thought there was supposed to be water effects or something way back? For me, it just seems like the same ride as it was, just the queue being slightly different.

I'm excited to try out DL's version when I visit for the first time in May.

Let's be honest, if TDO shut the ride down right now it'd take them 2 years just to install that effect.

They added geysers to the end of the ride, but it's very hit or miss if they turn the effect on or not. #DisneyDifference

i love the new effect. i WDWD wish would do something with the avalanche scene on the lift hill. i like our water scene… maybe add some smaller effects on the first lift.
