Positions in the highly-anticipated 1,800-room hotel include: food and beverage, rooms, front office, housekeeping, recreation, engineering, security, and stewarding. Loews Hotels is hosting a grand hire event to interview candidates for the exciting opportunities available at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort.

I wonder if the positions available to apply for online are the only job types available, or if they will be interviewing for additional positions at the actual event?

They need you to do the application online ahead of time. Doing that triggers a number of things. It puts you in their system, it triggers a background check and records your approval to run one, it puts you through a personality test to determine if they want to hire you, it uses your work history to determine if you meet their minimum standards.

Most likely the jobs listed are the departments that will be providing management to interview, so while they will be looking to fill those spots if someone fits another open role in that department better they could be offered another spot.

That looks gorgeous! It really looks like the hotel pool from that episode of Mad Men where they go to California - and that's a pretty ringing endorsement if you've captured a look and time period as well as Mad Men does. This place is going to be really popular.
 
I am dying to stay here. I can't deal. Gotta do two stays though: one pre-lazy river, one post.
