^ I don't recall the throne room tank either. Not sure why it looks like miniature staircases either.

Really cool find BJ. How many vendors are still out there with websites and portfolios I wonder.

Great find BJCool.

This thread brought me back to the Original days of Poseidon. Anyone care to explain why they changed the show from its original version? Considering the lifespan of an attraction, they did it extremely quickly. The original version had so much more of the "wow" factor if you ask me.

My understanding is that the show was changed because guests didn't get the original storyline. They felt they had to 'dumb it down' for the average guest.

What IOA might have been....maybe?

Listened to an old podcast featuring Jim Hill of Jim Hill Media talking about the original plans for IOA when Warner Brothers was in the mix. He said Marvel and Seuss were going to be Metropolis and Gotham (can't remember which order) and that Looney Tunes was in the mix. Supposedly the Hulk launch concept was going to be used for a Wiley E. Coyote/Roadrunner coaster. Anyone familiar with any of this? Or is this a bunch of hooey?

IOA went through numerous revisions and changes. Marvel was supposed to be Gotham, Toon was numerous concepts like Looney Tunes and they even tried to do the Simpsons but Groening wasn't ready to sell at that time (shows peak), and even Casper was going to have a ride where you rode on a bed through a haunted house. Just dozens of concepts, licenses, and properties that didn't pan out.

Jurassic Park was originally going to be built to the left of BTTF, but then moved entirely to IOA. Once at IOA the Jeep Tours came into being but were later abandoned in favor of bringing the River Adventure here instead. There was also a helicopter simulator originally planned for the land and built off the visitor center.

^I may be wrong, but aren't the Batman-themed bumper cars, teacups, and SpaceShot towers concepts for Six Flags or some other theme park that was not Universal?

Lol, yup didn't mean to post those.. That's what happens when you rush

That Batwing coaster looks sick! According to the trains, that coaster looked to be an Arrow Suspended coaster like Big Bad Wolf...

Also, Dudley's original concept looked spectacular! :doggie: Would the log being split into two have been right before the drop (that's what it looked like)?

Yep...it really would have been spectacular. But seems like concept art always exceeds the final product :/
