Well, it will be a kids ride, so the illusion won't have to be that convincing. But we still don't know exactly how this effect will be pulled off, so...

Gru could also pull out a mirror on the screen and hold it up so we could see ourselves, and what it'll show is the ride vehicles with a bunch of minions on it, kids will FLIP for something like that

I think it'll be more about the fun than the illusion. HISTA was never really that convincing either but it still worked.

OH yeah, I LOVED HISTA...one of my all time favorite 3-D shows!!!! I loved the illusion of being shrunk and the atmosphere created inside the theatre was top notch. I'm going to miss that show.

I really don't get all the disinterest as well. The new DM concept sounds great and spidermans update is amazing. Not meaning to bash Disney but they just got Star Tours pretty much the same sort of update as Spiderman will be getting and UOR gets a new ride on top, so its hardly like we can reply.

People should be excited, as a bonus to already great things happening we get something that is better than currently sitting where Neutron is.

Between the new 3D projection system and how dark they can make it in there and main theater changes, it could be very convincing. Betting a lot of it is us being shrink rayed and flying arouind Gru's lab.

The post show area is pretty darn open. It only needs to accommodate the groups that just exited the attraction before they go into the giftshop area. Think music, lights and disco with minions on screens showcasing you with cameras and lots of Despicale Me themed details like a "Gru Ray" player and DJ table as seen in the end of the movie.

I would think some sort of motion capture dance floor whereas when you dance on the floor you can control a minion on the screen the way he dances

I just saw the annocement and I am very happy about it. DM will be a natural replacement and well excepted replacement for that waste of good space JNNB. As for Spiderman, the new HD-3D video will add more to the amazing attraction. :thumbs:

Overall, the annonement was great!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!! :happy:

Not meaning to bash Disney but they just got Star Tours pretty much the same sort of update as Spiderman will be getting and UOR gets a new ride on top, so its hardly like we can reply.

I'm not saying this isn't exciting, but Spidey and ST2 are two different things. ST2 is a whole new ride, actually, almost like 50 different rides, just the same vehicle, not to mention the new queue. Spidey is the same ride, just new animation, and new set pieces.

I know you'll dig it!! The minions are cute and funny, there are several clever sight gags...it's one of the better animate kids films to come out in recent years!!

I loved the movie and I think it's great that Universal got a big enough hit to utilize one of its own properties. No licensing. Minions and fluffy unicorns for all!

The only thing I'm worried about is wait times. This will definitely be a bigger draw than Jimmy Neutron, which opened only a month ahead of Shrek 4D. That was a good year.

Yep, a bigger draw than Jimmy Neutron and as you said, it is actually a Universal property. That makes me happy to actually have more of their properties in their park.

If their Illumination partnership continues with success we will see even more of their characters in the park.

You never know. Universal and Illumination are working on a new Curious George re-boot, I heard. I've always envisioned a nice little Curious George dark ride for KidZone.

Could happen. If it was somehow a HUGE hit, there is always the area over there where the Hard Rock Cafe was.

That being said either way it would revitalize popularity in a character they feature and own.

I am a large self conscience guy but every now and then for the sake of a laugh I like to make a fool of myself, as long as people laugh, and as a post show idea for such a movie with that type of finale this sounds like a great idea.
