I wonder what's really behind this delay. Uncanny valley effects they're racing to fix?

I had thought they've been previewing the figure at Imagineering for VIPs, selected press, family members, going back to last summer. So it would surprise me if the show content -- including any uncanny valley issues -- was the issue...seems qualitative stuff like that would have been confronted and solved (or the project delayed) months ago.

To delay it this close to opening, to me, suggests reliability issues. Maybe I'm just biased by Tiana, but that's where I'd place my bet.

Circling back to the exhibit art at the exit showing off upcoming experiences for DLR (Avatar, Coco, Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab) I hope there be actually be new concept art instead of just rehashing what was show off at D23 2024.

Though my expectations are somewhat tempered if Disney is planning on showing off more info on any of these aforementioned attractions at Destination D23 2025 and doesn't want to reveal their hand before August.

Having tech issues with the Walt figure would be really really bad PR for Disney...Wall Street Journal, New York Times level of bad, especially surrounded by a pre-show display of Disney's history of animatronic technology.

Given they have a rotating turntable stage, maybe they're scrambling to duplicate the set and assemble a second Walt figure on the back-side so if they run into issues they can rotate the stage and have a back-up.

Some shots taken from a recent Theme Park Obsession video of the new drain grates outside the Madame Leota gift shop. Results: dirty, sloppy, misaligned installation, cheap-looking concrete finishes, lack of attention to detail.

I guess at least they're being consistent.

Apparently according to the website that shall not be named, Disney Junior live will be going down after March 24th according to the Disneyland website calendar for the attraction. It's unclear if it will be back with something like say, a 70th anniversary overlay or if the show will be gone for good. If it's gone for good, it's probably another victim of budget cuts for the AGVA labor union performers.

Universal released some images of Epic Universe and among them was this shot of the thematic banners outside the show in the Harry Potter Ministry of Magic land. These graphics are so rich and impressive, and in some ways reminds me of the fantastic environmental signage/advertising graphics at the "new" Jungle Cruise queue building. Thematic graphics can be such a great way to evoke a theme.

Which got me thinking...this is perhaps something that could enhance the exterior of the Madame Leota gift shop. If Madame Leota is a fortune-teller-for-hire who has set up shop in the carriage house, it doesn't look like it much from the outside. She's not flamboyantly trying too hustle up customers in a 19th century Victorian-advertising way. Maybe if there were thematic banners on either side of the doorway at the front of her shop (instead of those lanterns with weird wrought iron around them) it could add the mystical vibe that the boring barn is missing.

If those hanging lanterns outside were swapped out for more interesting colored glass lanterns (like those found inside) and it had some vintage advertising banners, and some artificial ivy, this building could probably be enhanced a lot.

So with the Disney Junior live show now closed and a new show on the way later this year, it's probably going to be Bluey related after Disney procured the theme park rights. Preschool IPs are typically disposable after a certain period, so an overlayed Disney Junior show makes sense until that stretch with the Hyperion, Animation Building, and former DJL show get folded into Avengers Campus

Indiana Jones reopens this Friday after a decent refurbishment closure! Anxious to see if the doors were fixed or not and what else might of changed.
