I could actually see that for the Spider Hotel, and the Surf Board Pool Hotel for 2020.

In a way, the hotel timeline is this if that's what happens;

2016: Sapphire
2017: Cabana Bay Towers
2018: Adventura
2019: Spider
2020: Surf-Board Pool

I could see it the other way about.

If the hotel at 6200 I-Drive will have a surf theme, why not re-open The Wake Zone?



It would be one way to make use of the lake during the warm season, when Volcano Bay will be busier, and it could still be priced as a stand-alone attraction.

I haven't seen anything recent on the building behind Surf Lagoon or by the Lazy River, but they can't be far behind if they're still standing.

Also, Orlando Business Journal is reporting that a 2020 opening is likely for the Wet 'n Wild hotels (article behind paywall):

Sadly, I don't think that'll happen. If this was a linchpin for the monorail, Universal would've bought it way before the owners had to resort to placing a For Sale sign up.

It could already be a done deal but legally they have to advertise it for sale.

It seems like if Uni is going to buy it, it would be better to put Lost Caverns Adventure Golf over there, and then add the current Lost Caverns location to Dry 'N Tame.
