There is a bus clause I believe...no stampede coverage though

Oh I actually went on E.T. and boy oh boy it stunk, the audio was totally getting severly outdated and scratched up such as Bontanicus and the green planet sequence. Tell you one thing, E.T. isn't going to be around much longer.

Why does Bontanicus hold a crystal ball on his stick in the forest queue?

Why is Spielberg still annoyed about the closure of E.T. in Universal Studios Hollywood?

Because he directed ET and I'm sure it was very sentimental to him.

I can tell you right now, you seem extremely full of yourself. A few of the extremely good insiders has said that E.T. is staying.

I believe you asked this question, as we didn't even understand your question. If I had to assume, its not a crystal ball for the characters intention; as your pointing an effect that "should" be updated to a more..Screen based element of the line actually.

E.T. means something to Spielberg if I'm not mistaken, as that's what took him from the person as people knew that made more "Adult Oriented" films (Duel, Jaws, Close Encounters (my personal opinion) and Raiders; which was still not for the children) to showing that he can do family films like a ET.

I believe I've said this, I think that its Spielbergs Mickey Mouse, and its THAT reason; especially considering Spielbergs films previous to ET.

That said..i think I went meta there for a second. That said, I am very curious on if ET will get a new line, similar to Shrek 4D in Hollywood; as I can see that working extremely well, considering if they get rid of the Preshow.

One thing that E.T. still has going for it besides being a slower gentle ride is also the height requirement is so low, actually the lowest of any actual dark ride/moving vehicle attraction in the park. To ride Despicable moving seats you still have to be 40 inches.

At one time, you still had Earthquake/Disaster and Jaws to take the entire family on. Taste aside, the entire family could still ride the attractions together. Now with Twister and the former Earthquake site likely turning into rides with height requirements, that makes ET a valuable experience to have open.

I'd be shocked if E.T. didn't get a major refurb between the opening of Fallon + F&F and Nintendo. The ride needs it badly, Spielberg won't let it go away (luckily), and USF can't lose the capacity anytime soon.

USF needs more rides like E.T. Family friendly, Disney-style dark rides.

Definitely could see ET getting a sweet refurb. Maybe some new vehicles, new effects & lighting, as well as updated animatronics (ones that move more).

Would you all rather an ET refurb or rebuild?

If it was a realistic option I'd be all for gutting the building and starting from scratch

I think the question was referring to a new ET ride, so yea, that's what I meant. I think the ET ride is fine, but nothing great. Would love to see modern UC take a crack at it.

I really like the attraction. Decent new AA's in the early scenes would be nice. And just a general refurb. But I like the ride as it is. The forest queue is excellent, don't touch it.

I have a small hope that that might be the hook for the new park, rides based on classic films with the newest technologies.

Cut out the preshow video. Keep the forest. Keep it dark ride/animatronics based. Add new sets(Elliot's house)/practical effects.

I actually wouldn't mind if they got rid of the name thing. At the end, I can't even understand what E.T. is saying. Maybe they could at least revamp it so it's more clear idk.

I'm sure they can update it to be more clear..I think it is a personal touch and something I haven't seen on any other ride..
