The new front entrance should be completely wrapped up at that point as well, but more importantly, prepare for SSE to be closed. It's expected to close shortly after Test Track opens later this month.

I've heard a rumour suggesting The Muppets might be heading to Epcot. WDW Theme Parks posted the following:

"WDWMagic.com user TheVisionarySoul is reporting that there are multiple concepts for redoing the Imagination Pavilion. The concepts include Inside Out and The Muppets. The Muppets concept includes The Muppets labs revealing that they created Figment."
Idk how credible any of the Muppet rumors are, but Inside Out has definitely been discussed. Martin is saying 2023 for Imagination. As of now.

Feels like the can is always kicked for this attraction.

I'll also say this, Imagination w/ Figment is going to be 18 years old making it last longer than the original version of the ride. The fact this attraction still exists is embarrassing to Disney and Epcot.

There's only so far they can kick it. This will really be one of the last things needed to address by the time they get to it. The overhaul is fixing a lot of dead spots or needs such as (this is all from 2016-2022 pretty much)...
  • Energy will have transformed into GotG (whether you agree with the IP or not is mute in this context, Energy wasn't pulling it's weight)
  • Festival Center (aka WoL) will have transformed into Play!
  • Innoventions West will have been demolished (another scenario where it doesn't matter if you agree with what is replacing it in this context as it wasn't pulling it's weight)
  • Updated 360 shows and other movies around the park
  • Updated SSE
  • New mission on Mission: Space
  • Updated Soarin film (doesn't mean better)
  • Added attractions around World Showcase (Ratatouille, Poppins)
  • Maelstrom turned into Frozen Ever After
  • Removal of Leave-a-Legacy
  • Illuminations replaced by Harmonious
  • More added table service, including Tukami Tei and Space 220
  • Updates to Mouse Gear and Electric Umbrella
Literally the only thing in need of an update that won't have gotten it by the end of all of this is Imagination and the Magic Eye Theater.

The smokers they had out for the Flower and Garden festival were clearly successful in drawing people into the area. Now it’s a permanent fixture. Brilliant if you ask me.

Busch Gardens has been doing it for years, with the "street side show grill" filling the air with that barbecue smell and drawing people in...

Oh yea, lots of places do, but in recent years they’ve featured smokers during one of the festivals in that pavilion and it’s packed every day all day. They even put up an arch to the area similar to the one in the Regal Eagle art. Someone was paying attention to their built in market testing over the last few years.

Rope drop crowds are held next to GotG on the FW East side. There is also a FW West rope drop that is held by The Land:
