What does "active" mean in that context?

We only explicitly know about the HRRR replacement, and we can assume something is happening to Lost Continent's land mass.

But beyond that, isn't everything pure speculation/wishful thinking?

I think Scott is referring to the entirety of the UDE division.

At the moment,
Domestic Expansion -> Universal Kids Frisco & Horror Unleashed Vegas
International Expansion -> New UK Resort & Japan Pokemon Project (I'm sure there's also something else here in the works)
UOR -> Rockit Replacement, Supercharged, Epic Capacity Help likely being fast-tracked, Lost Continent Demo
USH -> Tram Tour Replacement, Hotel Project

There is supposed to be work happening for a F&F replacement for after it closes for the coaster. It sounds (from what I've gathered) like the goal is to have it open about a year after the new coaster opens.

For 2028? That would mean...

2026: Nothing
2027: USF Rockit Replacement
2028: USF Supercharged Replacement
2029: IOA Lost Continent
2030: Springfield/Pokemon Replacement (Or 5-year anniversary project at Epic Universe? Can they really wait 5-years for a major capacity boost for Epic?)

I think Epic will see work starting within the next year-- I just don't know which is (or maybe witches) their priority, and they may not decide that until after For Good opens. I could easily see a one-two punch of north and south campuses opening new attractions the same year, especially if Disney continues to actually pursue agressive building timelines on new attractions.

6 projects is comparatively very slow for UOR compared to 2020-2025, considering they opened three hotels, multiple attractions at USF and IOA (Villaincon, Bourne, Velocicoaster, new nighttime show, new parade, DreamWorks, RRR demo), and an entire new theme park which has five new worlds built from scratch. (That's not including the potentially cancelled Potter VR addition to USF.)

But I guess that depends on what we're counting as a project.

Considering this precedence, I feel like they have the bandwidth to work on plenty of projects at the same time.

Project Tracker (as of 11/5)
I'm sure there's other projects in the works (refurbs, etc.) I'm missing.

Green - Confirmed (Dates May Change)
Yellow - Rumor/Wild Guess

2028-2030 are huge years for WDW and Disneyland, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

Spotted one missing project: Carousel of Tomorrow is adding Walt Disney.

I was hoping for an early 2026 shut down of Supercharged followed by a year ish refurb and it opening back to back with the coaster like how Hulk and Kong opened in '16.

Still holding out hope for this. From a marketing perspective, they'd likely want the existing F&F attraction with horrible reviews closed at least half a year before the F&F coaster opens up. A nice cool-down period before they ramp up marketing efforts.

USH closed supercharged in the spring of this year, they're opening up F&F coaster the following spring... so we could see this happening at USF next year.

Of the "multiple attractions at USF," you listed several that were not known early on. So I always pump the brakes when anyone confidently says "nothing" is happening or undercounting future attractions. Like people were swearing we wouldn't get anyting new before Epic in EITHER park!

All projects for UOR.

I'm expecting at least 4 to have shovels in the ground by this time next year. No hotels.

Universal are going toe to toe with Disney with new things. I do love a theme park war.

Cool chart. Handy to keep track of things.

You do have the Indy and Encanto logos swapped though lol.

Does your '4 with shovels in the ground' include the Rockit replacement? If so, my guess is Rockit, LC/Pokemon, Supercharged re-theme, and Volcano Bay expansion. If you're not counting Rockit, then throw a small Epic expansion in there.

Rip Ride Rockit. The leading rumor for the replacement is Fast & Furious with trains similar to the one opening up over in Hollywood
