I'm reserving full judgment until I see it in person but in the video, they honestly look great.

Question, with the other mine train coming down the street in the next couple months, do you think seven dwarfs can hold up against it when it comes to bringing people in and making money? Could it be a flop?

MK is still the most visited park in the world and Universal isn't anywhere near close to taking that title, they'll be fine.

Well obviously but with all the ads and commercials coming out for diagon do you think mine train will even get glanced at by the general public?

Disappointed, but not surprised by the negative reactions on this board. I know this is a theme park board, but some of you act too much like children.

To be honest, the Disney fan base will wet themselves with glee because they have gotten so little in the past decade, and this looks to be a very well executed attraction. It is still going to be short with too few show scenes, but what is there looks to be very well done.

It's style over substance at its finest. Incredible scenery but it's definitely going to be short and possibly disappointing for how long the lines will probably be for this thing. We all bash disney because we love Disney and want to see them improve, if Disney just added its amazing style to a really great ride and we would have no reason to complain anymore

I think the new AA's look pretty good, but I honestly think they could have been a tad better. Like others have said maybe the show lighting will help that, but they aren't as good as RSR's, close but not enough.

Yes, the #1 theme park in the world could flop and not bring in 18 million visitors and earn a bajillion dollars.

I was thinking, even though their may not be many "show scenes" wouldn't you guys consider the actual landscaping and rockwork a show scene? As of now, there's 3 show scenes. The vultures, the mine, and the cottage.

I don't know anybody who knows the mine train exist, technically they aren't theme park fans but they are the general public. They have no idea it's being built. They know about new fantasy land but when I brought up the mind train they were completely clueless. Sure people will go to Disney but the mine train isn't the reason why

Again, Magic Kingdom is the most visited park in the world. Even if people don't know about it I don't see how it will be a failure.

....so how would that be flopping? Based on your posts Ive seen you just seem hell-bent on bashing Disney. Thats fine, thats your opinion, but this is kind of a baseless point. Anything at the most-visited theme park in the world will be successful. Also, the general "hype" (for lack of a better word) surrounding New Fantasyland is still present. People are stil visiting for it. The mine train is simply bundled up in that. And if guests came to see NF before the mine ride was completed, well they saw the construction no doubt, and have awareness. Even if nobody knew about it, its not like its going to flop; 18 million people arent going to suddenly not go to Magic Kingdom because they dont know about a new ride being built........

I don't want to seem like I'm bashing I'm just saying it's getting no attention next to diagon. Technically no park can have a flop no matter how much the ride sucks. I'm just saying will Disney take a hit with diagon. Sorry I confused everybody with the word flop. I just had a conversation with my friends and they were shocked Disney was making a new roller coaster with the dwarfs and I was kinda shocked by it

The reason it hasn't been getting as much attention is because construction is going at a snail's pace. There's not a whole lot to talk about.

I like how this "may flop" when all of the new FL rides have been extremely popular and often have long lines. The area is very popular with guests. You talking to your random friends that are most likely in the same age bracket and have similar interests shows absolutely no proof that the coaster has no interest or excientment from other members of the public.

For instance, Disney posted a picture of Dopey standing in front of mine coaster this morning and there are over 22.7k likes and over 350 comments.

I swear some people really believe the world rebolves around them.

It's weird though because when I talked to my buddies they thought Star Wars land in MGM was next up....that wasn't even announced just hinted at. "They already made new fantasyland last year"

I'm not implying that "the world is centered around me" but when talking to a large number of family and friends who have never heard of it i thought to myself wow this isn't branching out. I already said using the word flop was a mistake on my part, could've worded it better

your family and friends are a very tiny part of the population. And in general the majority of the population doesn't know about anything that's going on at Disney or Universal. Adding an attraction to a park that is so heavily visited will never show the same kind of increase as something as Universal. They have a lot more room to grow then Disney does.
