Nope not quite a correct comparison- IOA brought innovation as well as detail, atmosphere, and a experience along with a E-ticket ride and a total immersion that all ages can enjoy.[/FONT]

The only part of this I fully agree with is that IOA brought in a new E-Ticket ride. Otherwise I think things like Dumbo's new waiting system, B&B mirror/door, and webble-wobble coaster are innovative. They may not be FJ-level innovative, but innovative all the same. The detail and and atmosphere in the FLE looks up to par and seems pretty dang immersing. Sorry but the Jurassic Park arch adjacent to Hogwarts/exposed show building deducts points from claims of "total immersion." I also disagree with the "All Ages" part. Fantasyland picks up the demographic WWoHP dipped out on...little kids. My nieces (5 and 3) found everything short of butterbeer boring as crap at Wizarding World. There was just too little for them to do...it really was just Olivanders, shops of merch they didn't care about, and butterbeer.

That said, what IOA brought to the table that MK didn't was a more relevant franchise. Disney classics will always be just that, and using them as a springboard for new projects is always welcomed, but IOA brought forth a property that was HOT AS HELL. So really where Disney fails, for me anyway, is the more dated properties they use. I'm happy for Universal and I'd rather them have Potter over Disney. Disney has several things that keep my wanting to come back (Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, ToT, Star Tours, Food & Wine etc)...Universal just didn't have the same pull for me before Potter. Spider-Man, BthF, and Jaws were the only soft spots for me (one of three survived) so I like Potter for giving me a reason to care again.

After seeing the expansion so far myself, it gives me another reason to go back!

I will now have to retract my statement of all ages because I have to agree with SWS, younger kids are left out of the WWoHP experience olivanders and butter beer is it for them especially if they aren't thrill seeker roller coaster types or to small to ride Flight of the Hippogrif and olivanders does leave something to be desired if you are not picked and you have done it once or twice.

Where are those wands that can be interactive around the area and a ice cream soda shop and tea house.

I'm not willing to call Seven Dwarves innovative at all. All it does (as far as we know) is take what Arrow was doing since the mid 80s and moves it above the track instead of under it. Am I surprised it took a manufacturer/park so long to do it? Yep, but I'd hardly call it innovative. Everything else I can at least somewhat agree with, though. Now if it ends up being more than just Arrow's suspended swinging coaster inverted to above the track, I'll reconsider, but as of now, not innovative.

My thing with the Belle "attraction", is it's basically one giant immersive queue line leading to nothing of real worth. Sure the mirror is pretty cool, but so is numerous things in the FJ queue at IOA. The difference is a ride follows. With this, the mirror is basically the high point. After the mirror, you get a M&G and that's it. The wait for this is likely going to be insane too. I mean, yeah the animatronics and mirror parts are great, but why couldn't they try and utilize that into an actual ride? That's my problem. Sure the FLE looks pretty, and it's going to be a solid addition for the most part, but it's not all about just acceptance all the time. To me, I feel like those animatronics and mirror scene are being wasted inside that type of "attraction". They could've easily done more in many facets of the FLE and chose not to and go the easy route.

How many years has Disney been building in Florida and they didn't realize drainage might be an issue for a new building? If you need a symbol of the futility and utter ignorance of TDO, look no further.

How about the fact they built two theaters in the past few years that have major problems? (DtD and Tomorrowland)

Same as the FJ queue does for a five year old then?

First of all, the FJ queue is better, I don't even need to see it to know that (I have seen video/pics though). And Enchanted tales all leads to this thing where kids/adults play "parts" from the movie. There's already people saying they've seen kids crying b/c they were left out from getting a part. I just think the whole thing is a very poorly designed/imagined "attraction". It was some cool features, but it could've been so much more.

My point is that for you the Enchanted Tale queue leads to nothing of real worth but you’re not the target market of this attraction. In the same way for a small child there is nothing of real worth after the FJ queue. Just pointing out that you’re not looking at the attraction for its intended market.

If I am a small child Enchanted Tales offers me more than FJ. If I am a young adult FJ offers me more than Enchanted Tales. If I am the parent of a young child then I going to love both because Enchanted Tales will make my child’s eyes light up and I will take enjoyment from that and FJ will give me the thrills I still seek from when I was a young adult.

See it for what it is………. Simples

This is something worth noting. A lot of people here seem to forget that most parents love their children, and will pay money and do things to ensure their happiness. New Fantasyland is something that will make kids very happy, and in turn make the parents happy. Happiness doesn't always mean being thrown around in the air on a thrill ride, you know. I think the Disney Parks came to be on that idea.

Sorry they didn't make something for "everyone" (aka you).

I completely agree. And I do think FLE is a good addition. I think what everyone here is worried and trying to raise in addition to that is "Wouldn't it be nice if we got more attractions and expansions that focused more on the whole family, older kids, and adults, in addition to this?" It's like having an ice cream sunday with only whipped cream.

And I think those things are coming. This isn't the last expansion Disney is doing for WDW ever, and it feels like people are treating it like that!

Page 28, Teebin. There are no drains on the tents, so when it rains, you end up walking through a waterfall upon entering/leaving.

Well, it is the first major expansion in my 16 year old daughters lifetime. And you are right in that Disney will continue to add, they may get something else open in the MK around the time my 16 year old has Grandkids.

This expansion is aimed at a demographic that I am not a part of. I am not part of the demographic that ANY of Disney's more recent additions, with the exception of Everest, appeals to. Disney seems bound and determined to force me to spend my entertainment dollars elsewhere. And that is their perogative. Disney can build what the want. And I can choose to NOT spend my money on what they are serving up.

Thanks, I had read that but did not connect the two. I was surprised at that picture as water control at Disney is tip top, and the roof drains that they do install are the most expensive money can buy. Not sure what happened with the tents.
