Fantasyland Expansion - Part 2

This is something worth noting. A lot of people here seem to forget that most parents love their children, and will pay money and do things to ensure their happiness. New Fantasyland is something that will make kids very happy, and in turn make the parents happy. Happiness doesn't always mean being thrown around in the air on a thrill ride, you know. I think the Disney Parks came to be on that idea.

Sorry they didn't make something for "everyone" (aka you).

I'm not saying this bc they didn't make something "for me". It's more because it's very obvious that they spent a lot of money on many parts of this expansion, going as far as adding impressive new AA's, but in the grand scheme, people are going to wait WAYYY too long, get their hopes up when they see the mirror effect, then it's kinda downhill after that. Whether it's a good experience for kids or not, don't you think they would have been happy experiencing BatB through an actual ride, too? That's more what i'm complaining about. The FLE looks great and has many nice parts, but it's very frustrating at the same knowing they likely could've gone step farther and didn't.

Actual no I don’t. I had this discussion on the thread that got deleted. For the most part rides are passive as in you just sit and watch as you go from scene to scene (yes there are exceptions Men in Black ect) but here the children are actual involved and get to interact with there favourite characters and use there imagination to become part of the attraction. Iam sure little Sally will love telling her friends that she was Mrs Pots and got to actually meet Belle rather than she went on another dark ride. This is why for me a lot of people here are under estimating this attraction.

Actual no I don’t. I had this discussion on the thread that got deleted. For the most part rides are passive as in you just sit and watch as you go from scene to scene (yes there are exceptions Men in Black ect) but here the children are actual involved and get to interact with there favourite characters and use there imagination to become part of the attraction. Iam sure little Sally will love telling her friends that she was Mrs Pots and got to actually meet Belle rather than she went on another dark ride. It's also not a consistent experience for everyone. I feel bad for the people down at Town Hall. I have a feeling they're going to see a lot of complaining parents with spoiled children who didn't get picked to play a part after waiting so long.

And then she will love it again when she’s in her late 20s and here own 5 year old has that experience and again when she’s in here 50s and her grand children get to experience it. So she will get a life time of enjoyment out of it. Again people are under estimating the pleasure that comes from seeing a young child be so fascinated and excited by something like this and FLE as a whole.

I'd like to enjoy the Disney parks in my teens, 30s, and 40s. Sorry I'm selfish.

But were not talking about WDW as a whole were talking about an attraction in MK a park that is aimed at younger families and a section of that park FLE that is aimed exactly for the demographic I am talking about. It would make no sense what so ever to build a ride for the teen/young adult market in this part of WDW. WDW has 4 parks so they have the luxury of doing exactly what there doing and using FLE just for a certain demographic. You don’t have to like it or even want to go experience it just saying see it for what it is instead of been critical for what it is not or was never intended to be.

Hang on were flipping the debate here. I was responding to BJcool talking about childless twenty-to-thirties not families that’s why I was talking about a teen/adult ride not been relevant in this part of WDW and in particular this part of MK. I totally agree that MK should appeal to families with children of different ages (hence the 3 mountains) but the problem is that MK is so over run in FL that they had to address that issue and weather you like it or not FL is for families with young children.

Would I like an Indy ride over in Adventureland, hell yes or even a modern medium thrill Matterhorn coaster, of course. But were talking about FLE and Enchanted Tales and all I am saying is see it with the eyes of who its been built for and the problem its trying to address

Umm... not sure if you heard, but they're opening a Little Mermaid dark ride for previews in less than a month. It may not be the most exciting attraction they've ever built, but it is something that will appeal to a much broader audience. Just because it's princesses doesn't mean it can't appeal to every member of a family if it is presented in the right way.

It's not likely any more parents will complain now than than they did before. This isn't a new show, just a new location. And this one is in doors so if anything there should be less complaints. Olivanders, JTA, FOLK, and this show (prior to it's relocation) all grab only select numbers of people to participate. This kind of formula has worked for a long time without frequently raging parents. I personally think a lot of peeps here just want this attraction to fail because it doesn't cater to them. Get over it, people. It'll be a successful, cute little addition to MK whether or not you like it, see it, or support the idea.

Average wait time for LM was 20-30 mins over the weekend.
Average wait time for HM was 70-90 mins over the weekend.
