Christmas season, the ride is BRAND NEW NEVER RIDDEN BEFORE to the general public and its the holidays. If you add fastpass on top of that...its going to get waits. Especially if it is crawling speed a lot or facing downtime troubles.

In sometime under six months it will have the near walk on status again if fast pass does not artificially inflate the line.

It's something new. Rockit had long waits too when it opened. It's a respectable wait, but nothing earth shattering.

We'll see how things after this week.

Disney is saying there will be advanced AAs. We'll see.

I actually wouldn't be upset if they were just basic. There's really no need to break the bank on AAs that really don't need to do much.

Advanced by what standards? The current form that they produce? Just about any President in the Hall of Presidents or even Imhotep is. 2015 should bring something more advanced than what we were used to seeing in 1989.

Are you suggesting we need more screens? :blank:

Um, no, I'm almost positive he isn't. He's suggesting we should expect and receive quality animatronics.

Which is what we're (supposedly) getting.

Lee on WDWMagic said the AAs will not be advanced like the ones in Enchanted Tales or like Hopper and the Wicked Witch. Instead, he thinks they may be more like the ones in Mermaid, and for sure more advanced that the ones in the original Snow White ride, which isn't too hard to do lol.

That should suffice. There's no need for crazily advanced audio-animatronics in this sort of setting. As long as they they're above par with store displays, I'll be satisfied.

I suspect that the cottage scene will be a screen. At least, the art gives that impression.

Since there are only 1 maybe 2 indoor dark ride scenes, yes, this will suffice. This ride doesn't need all those other fancy, more advanced AAs.

The less advanced the AAs....the longer they can hold up with sub-par maintenance.

True, they will probably be broken or shut off within six months anyway.

After the Christmas season TLM will die down and shouldn't get waits over 30 minutes.

Thing is, we're technically not in the "Christmas season" yet in terms of crowds. We're in the deadest period of the year.

Basically a reminder that while everyone on the boards knows everything, the vast majority of guests don't know what's going on until they see it on Channel 6.

Does anyone have a picture of Maurices Cottage and the Be Our Guest restaurant from this perspective?!

I was at the Magic Kingdom on Saturday and boy was it packed. New Fantasyland area was a huge bottleneck of people. The dead end at The Little Mermaid is a big problem for traffic flow.
Belle was at 90 min and Mermaid at 120 min wait during the day. We went back around 8pm to a 40 min wait for Mermaid and then the ride went down and they cleared out the queue. Never went back to see if it came back up later.

If it makes any difference, last weekend at Studios, Star Tours was at 60, TSM was at 120, and ToT was 100. Granted, they aren't omnimovers, but they also aren't brand-spankin' new. If Mermaid is only 120 on opening week, expect typical 30 minute waits on any regular day in the coming year or two.

I highly doubt that. Pooh has been around for almost 15 years and until all of the FLE stuff opened, it was consistently at 50-60 minute waits. With FLE open now, Pooh is now around 20-30 on average. Also, as far as WDW goes, this is typically one of the deadest times of the year. The true holiday crowds haven't even hit yet...it will get worse before it gets better.

I'm just curious to see if these new attractions have a noticeable impact on ride waits around the park. This area was added to increase capacity and I'm waiting to see if its going to do what's intended.
