WDWMagic posted some photos of a new section of track (lift hill) now in place for SDMT.

It does not look like a family coaster to me :stunned:

Is that a drop or a lift? Either way this isn't a kiddie coaster like I've pointed out several times.

That is a lift to a small drop that has a curve.

It depends on your definition of kiddie coaster.

Theme wise, no it is not.

Thrill wise, less thrilling than Big Thunder or Barnstormer. The sensation of tilt will be the 'thrill.'

Family Coaster is better term to use than Kiddie.

Fun additional streetmosphere. I enjoy how they incorporated a love band into the act. My wife has a serious clown phobia so this will be double fun for me

The Disney Blog posted the following about the pork shank at Gastons....

Move over Turkey Leg, Meet the Pork Shank

iLpIWfqP0U0zr.jpg

Lenny DeGeorge, executive chef for concept design, and Maribeth Bisienere, VP Food & Drink at Walt Disney World, discuss the park’s newest hand-held food treat – The Pork Shank at Gastons.

The succulent treat is prepared with simple seasonings of salt and pepper and slow roasted for 3 hours. Clocking in at 22 ounces, the portion size will leave you, or your whole table, satisfied. The pork shank is definitely a treat all on its own, it’s not dry by any means, but if you like a little sauce, stop by Cosmic Ray’s and pick up a packet of BBQ sauce before visiting Gaston’s.

The Pork Shank’s popularity has exceeded even Disney’s wildest dreams, over 3000 were sold on its first day and guests have been known to line up at 9am to get their hands on one. If you’ve sampled the pork shank, what did you think? Did it rival the traditional themepark treat, the Turkey Leg?

As anyone tried that pork shank yet? It looks delicious! As a big turkey leg fan, I'll definitley be trying this on my next trip to MK next spring.

The pork shank is great. I actually prefer it to the turkey leg, so do not miss it on your trip.

I had it Fri night and was quite happy w/ it. Juicy, tender, flavorful and far more meat than a turkey leg. The one knock against it is it's so tender, it just completely fell apart off the bone. It's served in a paper boat, so it's far more "fork and knife" than "snack and stroll."

Well, we've already seen "Disco Hand Dryers" at Universal. Disney has gotta one-up some how.
